Congrats to Priddis. A great award for a consistent blue collar player. To be honest though Im not really sure what the Brownlow is supposed to represent (tradition aside), but none-the-less Priddis is a worthy winner in the 'fairest' sense.

Personally the MVP means a lot more, the Brownlow scoring is just too simple and inaccurate. A MVP for mid, fwd, def, tagger, ruckman, then an overall MVP would be a better measure for the season.

I fear the Brownlow is becoming a 7-14 side medal.
i Think to win a Brownlow now days you need to play in a OK (7-14 side team )to stand out

top 6 teams
if you look at the best players in the comp they have good players around them in a good team top 6 teams
so the best players lose votes from there team mates eg swans most votes on the nights with 4 players 12+votes

then you have the last 4 teams don't win enough go get the votes
(unless you have ablett because he is hands down the best player in the comp maybe even best to ever play the game)

i personally think they need to look at a new way of voting on this
taking nothing away from priddis he is a good player for his club.
but best in the comp not a chance not even in the top 10 IMO

I have no issue with Priddis winning, had an extremely consistent year, more so than many of the players considered better than him. Should have been AA too imo.

The hate for him from WCE posters is a total joke, he is literally their only player with an elite work rate, I have always thought his hands were of that calibre as well.

Whilst it was unexpected it is refreshing to hear the way he has spoken since receiving it, one of the most grounded payers I have ever heard speak. Great interview OTC last night too.

Think he is winning many fans just with his personality.
