He wouldn't get a game over our 3 forwards without gifting him a game. Saints were able to offer him a game every week because they have no one outside Reiwoldt. Would have been a nice get but a tough sell.

Why was he the other option at the McDonough pick then?
Membrey was touted as a top 20 selection in 2012, We passed on him twice with McBean/McIntosh at the time, I personally rated McBean highly and was extremely happy we took him but suprised with the McIntosh selection, Matt jones was the expected pick for us at the time from memory
But Membrey was the slider

Not too sure how much jay clark and sam landsberger know about the draft. But seem to think we will still take duggan or ellis even with weller wright and cockatoo available. also have de goey at 4 and goddard in the top 10

i couldn't see the sense in picking duggan over weller. Picking another flanker with the potential to play through the midfield. Over a pure midfielder. And in regards to cockatoo. I wouldn't want him before duggan but definitely before ellis. If there gonna take a risk on someone. Would rather it be cockatoo
