Yes a phone call will elicit a more immediate response. But even the most slap dash organisations have some sort of response protocols in place. This isn't about getting what I want...or even value for money. Just want to see how long until they respond.

Received a phone call a couple of weeks after the fact from GM of consumer business...so a ridiculous delay in responding, but at least dealt with seriously once it finally made it to his desk. Acknowledged the poor communication from their end which was a good start...did try to lean on the fact that it was put on the website...do other members check the website just in case the terms of their membership change?

As an aside apparently Carlton are/were charged back $40 every time a long distance member swiped through to an away game...no idea why it's $40 when it is just general admission, but there you are. If this type of thing is communicated at the right time no reasonable member is going to object.

Anyway, air cleared, annoyance noted, faith far from restored but Kramer remains a member.

Unbelievable numbers coming from Port Adelaide. What a transformation that club has experienced over the past 12 months.

We've done well to increase our figures on last year but going on those figures above, the rise isn't all that impressive. Can't help but feel the club could be doing so much better if the basics were nailed.

Our member tally is poor, people can find all the excuses they want, but a club that constantly finishes 2nd in overall attendances sits 8th in member numbers....yeah revenue is good, but we are no good at turning spectators to members.

Some of the blame has to go to our fickle supporters. The likes of Richmond, Essendon and Port haven't achieved anything in the last few seasons.

There would be a cold day in hell before our fans piped up and started cheering like Pies fans did last week.

Club can do more, but it takes two to tango.
