You guys should really use your first pick to trade for a high quality young key defender. You look like a much more solid team when your defence is working well and I think having another key tall defender who is a proven player will do your team wonders.

I'd rather not take a tall with our first, as we have ridiculous depth in the tall department.

A Devon smith clone is what we need and Pickett is that player

Does anyone think this announcing Patton today but having another announcement tomorrow is a bit strange and maybe suggests more than one resigning?

I think it will depend on what club wants him the most... The positive is he didn't nominate a club so we might get a fair bit....

Possibly team him up w another player or a pick for better compensation?

Time to start bumping some quotes on doggies board about Patton was all 100% a bulldog via late pick or psd

Can you please show me these posts? I have seen literally no one say that on our board. Happy to be corrected, our list management thread does have some shocking hypotheticals thrown about, but not that bad.

By saying stuff like you really do make all us dogs supporters look like arseholes. And you do it quite a bit, which is a shame because I usually enjoy your input on our board.

Good to see Patton get a new deal.

Serious question to GWS supporters, what do you think you would trade Giles for?
I would assume he is likely to be on the move and while I do particularly rate him, the fact that he hasn't been used much this year has dented his currency. Based on that I'd say he's not worth a high first round pick, possibly 15-20 but I think that would be pushing it unless there a few clubs bidding for him or one that really needs him. More realistically I think his value is in that 20-30 pick range, but I am wondering if GWS would even use that pick, or whether they are planning to get more early picks (if Jaksch goes) and be out of the draft before then.

Geelong is one club, along with a few others, that really needs a ruckman, so you would think he finds a home, but I wonder at what price.

Pack of Winnie Golds, two cans of coke, and our thanks at being such a good servant of the club. He's took good a player to be injury cover for Mumford, and we've got about four young kid rucks coming up in any case.

Probably mid to late second rounder is fair.

I'd rather keep him as ruck depth though. You need at least two mature rucks to avoid having your season ruined by injury, and at the moment we do only have the two.

Pattons Injury may see him on the roster for at least another year. I hope we keep him, he is good forward, back and in the ruck and he never lets us down when he gets a game and I reckon he would get quite a few during a year with Mummys knees, plus we are stuffed if Mumford gets really laid up
