I think the only question regarding Morabito is where he fits in. Clearly they are not wanting him to immediately resume a midfield role full time. From half back his explosive pace and natural agro can be weaponised. They have clearly been working on his short kicking, but as a get out of jail default, his booming long kicks are also not a bad option.

Well said - couldn't believe it when the training-watchers said they were trialling Morra in a tagging / negating role at training.

A big , powerful , fast, running, half back with a booming kick sounds like a strength to me.
Let's face it if he gets back up to what he was , he will be a massive boost to the team.

Agreed fred - I just think shut-down tagging isn't his thing, he can be offensive no matter where he plays.

I reckon it's more aimed at honing his accountability.

Fred the tagging role the other day he play in sim, is it just to test his endurance and defensive side of his game.

They would certainly not be planning a tagging role for him.
This is more to do with giving him a defensive mindset against a variety of opponents, small and quick and big marking, strong guys.

If we have a contested mark two lines down the ground then Morabito hoofing it 70m from half back will be a weapon.

Even if the plan is just to bring it to ground for a zippy forward to crumb and quick kick deep to Pav one on one near the goal square.

It's a ten second play for a score chance, meanwhile our MIDs press down to lock it in.

Meima lets get the facts right IMO I didnt see Mora playing a tagging role and (if I am wrong I apologise to salim malik and sherrif ) but it looks like fred didn't either. Sherrif said Mora Played run with against Blakely and Neale Salim said he played a run with also on Blakely. then ran with Barlow, Neale and then Balla. So who did Mora run with against 2 players or 4 players or was it Nil and was just standing alongside those players at a point in time?

I have in another post apologised to salim and sherrif if I have got it wrong. Fred didnt see Mora tagging so go tell him he must have been yapping as I wasnt anywhere near him last Wednesday.

So try again Meima in making something out of nothing.

It looked like he was tagging to me. His eyes weren't on the ball. Yes he rotated on all least two and perhaps as many as four players.One training session playing as a defensive mid doesn't mean much. He has spent nearly the entire preseason playing as a defender.

You ask about the tagging or run with role where from ,I just answer you from Salim and Sheriff report nothing against you or making something out of nothng. As for Yapping if I amplify it I am sorry.

I unconditionally agree with salim malik and sherrif that Mora played a tagging/negating role last Wednesday against players Blakely, Neale, Barlow and Ballas. My Apologies guys for getting this wrong .
