June I assume?

Praying Preston at least survives.
It's so hard as to who I want to see go up.

I want to see Blackburn, Preston North End AND Nottingham Forrest in the permier league but I also want to see Cardiff, Brighton, Ipswich, Leeds, Middleborough etc. up there too.

So many likeable teams in the Championship atm!

Half the league I like, a quarter I dislike, then a quarter (like Fulham, Hull) I'm just impartial over. Wouldn't mind if they went up, but wouldn't be rooting for them. Would be sad if they went down though if clubs like QPR, Bolton, Reading, MK Dons etc. stay up.

Hull big favs with the bookies to start.

There's quite a few teams that I like in this league. Would love to see Bristol City do well.

Bit of a strange feeling. I'm pretty sure we've never finished league champions in any league in our history.

Our season will hinge on the strikers we bring in, and who we can retain. We need to look domestically for strikers, the likes of Darren Bent, Cameron Jerome, Lewis Grabban, Chris Martin, etc. who are proven at this level. Ince could play a big part as well if he stays.

EDIT:

We've won League 1 and League 2 before.

Is it only the strikers that are likely to depart? All in all, your squad should be much too strong for most in the division.

Grabban would be a good shout. Not sure you'd want Bent and don't know Martin would move but I definitely see your point.

Yeah at this rate looks only to be those three with probably Livermore leaving too for obvious reasons.

Chester getting a lot of attention and has indicated he may be willing to leave, but with the price tag on him if he left I'd be comfortable it would only aid in further strengthening the squad.

Bent is pretty decent at Championship level and would come free, so may as well take the gamble I reckon.

Where is that Livermore thing at? Is he looking at 2 years?

Oh right, didn't realise he'd be on a free. I swear that guy has been around forever.

Is Bruce hanging around then?

Think he's attempting to appeal on the grounds a second test was negative. Any fa process seems to take months but Bruce has been pretty clear he's played his last game for us.

Yep Bruce is staying.

They really don't.
Come on Jatz, you don't want to see a good ol' East Midlands rivalry in the Premier League :D?

Always hard to pick the Championship seeing as it's one of the most competitive leagues in the world. Would be happy to see any of Boro, Blackburn, Nottingham Forest, Leeds and PNE etc. promoted but, really, there's a lot of likeable clubs and the only one I have no time for is QPR.

I'd be ok with Derby coming up ;)

Never liked Forest, not sure exactly what it is.

I was saying on the forum for lower leagues (got caught up when i was talking about my second team Barnet) how lucky Sheffield Wednesday were to get this new Thai businessman owner and how he would turn the club around. Then he goes and sacks our manager, one of the most respected managers (within the club) i think ive seen since Brian Laws because he "wasn't a big enough name". Obviously i want Sheffield Wednesday to go up to the PL but its a shame to see this stuff happening :(

Thats a poor reason to sack a manager. Shows a lack of knowledge from the new owner..
Gray did a good job on a very tight budget.

Got us our highest finish in 6 years. Guided us to safety in his first year and then to a mid table finish this season, absolutely sucks. Im sure getting a big name manager isn't whats going to be the most effective way of getting bums on seats for us

Would be hoping for a top 10 finish with the squad we have but it looks as if we'll cut the squad even more. Slade is a master at bringing in talent from the lower leagues, will be great to see what he can do with a transfer window.

You'd think Derby will finally do what they've threatened to do the past few years and get promoted. Can also see Hull up there as well as the squad looks the strongest of the 3 relegated IMO, although Mass will be be huge for QPR. Ipswich is a roughy who I thought looked a good side when they came to the CCS last season.

Hope PNE do well for both Wright and Kilkenny. Wright can be Australia's CB for the next 10 years IMO

Very excited for the new blue kit to arrive and have the red finally cleared from the club (apart from those silly seats).

A manager can only perform with the squad available. Gray was given nothing to work with..
Dave Jones was a "big name" and look how garbage he was.

That's similar with what happened with us. Pearson was replaced with Sousa (which crafted the way for Rodgers' rise), and than Sousa was replaced with Sven. We finally got Pearson back, and the Thais have been staunch in their support.

I can only hope that your Thai is more in the Leicester mould, than the Man City mould.

Given the circumstances, what would be the expectation for the new season?
