Do you even read what you post?

Three Brighton fans were ejected after having a go at Ipswich fans for directing homophobic abuse at Brighton fans.

It is thought that the disturbance started after homophobic chanting by Ipswich fans.

You're obviously such a die hard football fan you know all about the city of Brighton's long affiliation with the gay community.

Club Statement
In response to media reports concerning two arrests at yesterday's match v Birmingham City.

Brighton & Hove Albion can confirm two arrests were made at yesterday's match against Birmingham City: one on suspicion of use of racist language, in relation to an historic offence; and one for throwing a smoke bomb onto the pitch from the away end.

The arrest on suspicion of use of racist language was made after a complaint and subsequent statement was made to the club on Saturday morning that racist language was used prior to a previous home match, by an individual watching a televised match in the stadium concourse.

The suspect was identified by the club's CCTV staff and stewards, before being ejected from the stadium and handed over to Sussex Police.

The club has a zero tolerance approach on all forms of discrimination and fans found guilty of such offences at home matches, away matches, when travelling to and from our fixtures or any club event, can expect a lengthy or indefinite ban from all Albion fixtures.

Chief executive Paul Barber commented, "We pride ourselves on welcoming everyone at Brighton & Hove Albion and we simply will not tolerate any kind of xenophobic behaviour. We expect our fans to to conduct themselves in a manner befitting to our club - and I am pleased that the vast majority are a credit to us.

"I applaud the supporter who came forward to report the incident, and would encourage any fan witnessing this type of behaviour to do likewise. Supporters can rest assured their information will be treated with the utmost discretion, that we will fully investigate all complaints of this nature and we will act accordingly.

"I also applaud our safety and stewarding team for the swift actions, following yesterday's complaint, in identifying the suspected individual; they will continue to assist Sussex Police in their investigation."

So it was a Brighton supporter who dobbed them in and got them arrested. And it didn't occur at the Birmingham game...

Brighton fans banned for lighting flares: http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/10753085.Albion_fans_face_three_year_match_ban_for_flares/

All within the last couple of years.

Besides being dangerous, what exactly have flares got to do with anything?

You rubbished an entire fan base because 1 Derby fan allegedly racially abused someone, while earlier this year a Brighton fan was arrested for the same thing. So does that mean that the entire fan base are scum? Of course it doesn't, just like the alleged actions of one Derby fan doesn't reflect their fan base either.

I misread the homophobic one, that's my bad.

I rubbished them because they booed a player being taken off on a stretcher. Not just a small few, a lot, enough that it could be heard quite clearly on the TV add that to taunting of Brighton fans with homophobic abuse after the game AND the racial abuse it all adds up to a pretty ordinary view of more than just "1 Derby fan".

You think that's a normal day at the football do you?

Oh also, never called them scum, I said classless. Big difference in tone and language.

Every club has idiots, some more than others however.

All that tells me is that when your 2 biggest rivals lead the way in arrests, you're damned either way

It tells you which clubs need to work harder in weeding out the rubbish attitude that knuckle draggers still think is a part of the game and it's atmosphere.

When Millwall is beating you on a arrests sheet, you know there's a lot of work to be done.

Out of interest, what argument are you actually trying to make?

There are dickheads in every fanbase, that's a well established fact. Your can't be seriously suggesting that a few dozen or so people being arrested is indicative of a club's fans in general.

I was suggesting that a large group of people booing an injured playing being taken off on the ground was classless. And that when that is coupled with racist and homophobic abuse at the same match from other sets of fans it doesn't paint a great picture of a fan base.

Or should I have no mentioned all those happenings and not made comment?

If this was directed at Millwall fans would anyone give a rats?

no what it actually shows is that some clubs have rivalries & that results in regular issues
laughable to even mention Milwall in this conversation
anyway, back to the actual discussion about this league

You mean back to the 1980's where excusing rubbish behaviour is a thing.

Maybe you have a point about rivalries. Childish morons do still follow football I guess.

However we're not your rivals and Solly March did what exactly?

Just face the facts - football is a primarily working class games where a large number of fans, especially from lower socio-economic areas are happy to openly engage in racist, homophobic and/or any other taunts.

Mates brother in law is a boro fan and I've been to plenty of away boro matches - you'd think they were an entirely different species the way they carry on.

The two most 'normal' grounds I've been to are the Emirates and Craven Cottage

It's not QPR's fault. He's just not playing well enough to get in the team at the moment.

How do you know?

How do you know?
I work next to that QPR mate of mine. Knows that squad backwards.

QPR played with a striker for the first time today in about 7 or 8 games. They had been stacking the midfield and playing Phillips up front (with predictably bad results).
