Supa and co have been pivotal in this year for us. Having only really added about 4 players to our list from last year and losing our vice captain. It just goes to show how much coaching makes a difference. Going to be a very interesting finals series with many teams in form.
Looking forward to seeing bundy v northcote. Will northcote have all their VFL listed players seeing as their teams are in he finals also.

Supa is a good friend of mine, played along side himself down at lower. Fantastic teacher of Aussie rules!

As we roll into preston city oval this week, ive always wondered do you go with the wind in the first or come home with a wet sail in the last?

Ive always thought go with it in the first and stack on as much as possible and just have a shitfight in the las5 when everybody is knackered?

I think you always take the wind, main reason is it may stop (yes I know it may get stronger)

I think it was 2003 at Epping, West Preston v Mont, last 1/4 wind stopped (even turned a bit maybe)

You always go with the wind. Nothing worse than coming in at quarter time and being 6 goals down even if it is a 6 goal wind.

Denny, the wind didn't stop, it was just downgraded from Cat 5 to cat 4.

The Beer didn't either.

The only thing that stopped was the Monty football team, and west ran over the top with inspired football.

Just checking the tribunal result.
Hooley Dooley - 4th send off for the year. Now misses majority of the finals.
Is this bloke a complete loose unit or easily antagonised?
Either way, named in Eltham's best 9 times this year, not the kind of player you can do without come finals.
Very unEltham, and I'm sure the club are none to pleased.

Bloke in question plays on the edge and with his heart on his sleeve. Retaliation seems to get him in strife and teams know it. Was integral part of the team/backline and feel pretty gutted for him!

Agree, not a thug at all. One of his yellows was probably the worst I have ever seen (genuine push in the chest) and another was just as petty.

But in the end if the incidents are not caught on video you struggle to appeal them.

Anyone from Heidelberg confirm the man is back in town with his chequebook? After watching the effort a few weeks back against North he has strode back in ready and willing to fix what was, in the end a terrible end to the season.

He never went anywhere. And yes, Heidelberg would be disappointed with their record, missing the finals after having played in 10 of the past 11 grand finals.

Seriously, the NFL is getting to be made to look like a fool with using Preston. Few points.

$5 Boags....seriously.

$13 for an adult to get in and have the shittiest service imaginable......and Boags....

No clubrooms open. No access to warmer, dry areas. Now I can handle it but when you hear that ladies had to use the public toilets out the back to change babies its beyond a joke (the used needle disposal was full as well....just stating that in case anyone from Preston Council reads this and wants to clean it before next week). No where to have a beer inside during the game, the old half time pots watching the 3rd leg of your quaddie. Nah, Carlton wont let you in, we are just red headed step children that are getting ripped off whilst others make money off us.

Boags....I heard some people suggest they would pay $25 to get in if they could have a VB or Draught.

No fried food. Now the health nuts might rejoice but hot chips etc are many football fans staple. They have a decent BBQ (all profits to Carlton) and a canteen but it had SFA food as they really wanted you to use the BBQ.

Boags....seriously, has anyone walked away from there with a changed pallet and filled their fridge at home with this crap.

Coffee was OK.

Parking, we know its a joke, nearly as much as them not allowing people to park at Epping or Whittlesea (which is only so people cannot bring their own beer). Now I know parking is always going to be hard at most places its still a pain in the ass.

Boags....$5 and mixed spirits $7.....I know what I saw most people drinking......

With their love of the almighty dollar in their sell out to everyone's favourite beer, maybe with that money they could make the Division One Finals more than the joke it has become.

Having been to all grounds and many finals including Whittlesea, Epping, Shelly St and more I would rather be back there any day.

The ground was in good nick though.

I'll shout you a scotch next time mate.

I agree. Boags tastes like anus. You would b more of a white wine drinker anyway wouldn't you? And yes our seniors were beaten on sat by Macleod who played better than us on the day so well done to them! But we did beat your mob in the reserves even though you played ineligible players.

That's a big accusation. Who were the ineligible players?

Eltham deserved their victory in the early game.

Eltham deserved to win but if you are worried about ineligible players surely you must be worried about facing them again?? Name them ??

Denny are you there to drink beer or watch a game I think your grip is a good one but who gives a rats bum hole about which beer is served it still get you pissed if you drink too much

I know I know, look I actually drank a few Boags, the main part of my rant was actually the clubrooms not being open (and no dim sims...well there could have been but Kickass may have eaten them all before I got there). The rest was good old DC humour......had nothing to do with the seniors losing. Macleod played the conditions and a game plan excellently, hopefully we can regather and I am sure they will.

And HFC playing ineligible players....no accusations or names needed. We were happy with the win, good tough game. But the rules do state that if you play 1 senior game you need to play 6 reserves to qualify, not 3, thats all.

Dont worry you weren't the only one complaining about boags and the entry price!!

What was with the fact if you wanted a beer you pretty much had to stand in the rain? That was annoying. I agree with the whole dry area but surely they need an alternative for people who want a beer
