Shoenmakers won't play sub. Suckling or Puopolo to play sub. Would prefer Puopolo. Can definitely snag a few in a quarter + more grunt in midfield when everyone is tired.

Disagree, Poppy has to be in there from the get go. Him and Rioli with the perceived manic pressure at the start to set the tone for the rest of the match. Suckling sub for me, I'd be very happy with that

It will be interesting to see how Box Hill line up tomorrow. Ceglar has to play after being a withdrawal the week before. He has played very little footy of late. BH also need the extra ruckman against Meese who smashed us last time after Pitt got injured midway through.

I expect a full capacity crack at the title from BH tomorrow and then we will see how the cards fall. I think Langers needs a blinder to be any chance, but the reality is that the GF 22 will be dependent on how Gunners pulls up. If he's not 100% fit, he shouldn't play. That also goes for Hale and anyone else carrying an injury.

It depends on whom we play. If it's west coast, Perhaps saving some explosive pace for the last stanza is in order. If it's north, the hawks should run a comp on their website, the winner gets to come on in the last 5 minutes when we're 74 points up, to enjoy the moment and get a premiership medallion. It'd be awesome seeing Mrs Gladys Williams, 76, of
Pittswood Crescent, Herston in the forward pocket, because it wouldn't matter.

I don't think Gunners coming in will make us too tall.
If Suckers goes to Sub, Gunners can play half forward and back when he needs to.

I think its Billy that has to miss this time.

Agree.
Unless Cegs plays a blinder Sunday...
In - Gunston
out - Hartung
If Gunner not fit- no change.
I reckon Shoe could be sub. If no injuries he can come on to cover Hale or Cegs during Q3.
I understand the sentiment, but gee, it'd be brave to drop a bloke who knows he's about to play his last game of footy. I reckon he'd give every last bit for the boys in the big dance, assuming he has anything left, that is.
Brad Sewell say hi.
Hale was better than his last few games, but Cegs needed for Nik Nat.

Can you imagine the reaction from neutrals if Schoenmakers wins the Norm Smith? :drunk:
Sportsbet has the Norm Smith market open for the 3 remaining teams. Has every player who played last night, plus the emergencies, plus Anderson and Spangher... BUT no Schoenmakers. That's pretty damn disrespectful. It's not like he was just making up the numbers either.

I don't know who I would prefer to be playing against in the GF!
Weather forecast for next Saturday is 28 degrees. Going to be a very warm day in Melbourne.
North in this case, please. Strength of the sides aside, the extra week off and being more accustomed to playing in that sort of heat will give Eagles an edge, at least in that regard.

As much as I love Gunners I read somewhere that we've won 9 out of 11 games that he hasn't played in with last night being the 10th out of 12. He's a vital player but not worth the risk if he's not 100% considering we don't rely on him like a Freo relies on Fyfe for example.

If Gunston is fit, he must play.
I don't think we can go in any taller than we have these last few weeks. Arguably too tall already.
Schoenmakers is the first in line, of the talls, to miss out.
Schoenmakers does not deserve to lose his spot.

I guess the only conclusion is that footy can be unfair.

Well done guys. Hopefully we win tonight and make it a good GF! If not, can't bring myself to back North so will be on the Hawks for the GF. Coming over for the GF irrespective of whether we win or lose tonight so is there any suggestions of pubs that are footy friendly and places to avoid (serious answers please!).
Cheers :thumbsu:

If west coast win do we have to wear the power rangers get up ?

I may be wrong, but I thought that by beating the top 'seed' we then take that position. If that is the case, we would be the home team and entitled to our home guernsey. I could be quite wrong, though.

I can help. If we make it through we will wear our royal kit as it is an 'away game' for the purposes of our guernsey sponsors so will be wings vs stripes. No power rangers! The QF was the worst.. tripanel (last game tonight for it it seems!) vs power rangers haha.
