I may be wrong, but I thought that by beating the top 'seed' we then take that position. If that is the case, we would be the home team and entitled to our home guernsey. I could be quite wrong, though.
West coast would still be ranked higher finishing second , if 2 weeks ago the afl decided it would clash , surely that doesn't change in the 2 weeks , would look awful on grand final day . Power rangers , please NO

Most likely we play West Coast. They have been prolific scorers this year, but also highly inaccurate. I hope they kick OK tonight if they win - that way they are less likely to work on their accuracy during the week

Would like to think Schoey and Gunners to function together. Hartung the unlucky one. Suckling I feel is the most versatile of our bottom 6 and could probably wreak havoc as a sub when the opposition defenders can't cover as much space. Throw him down back and he will cut through the zone. Through him up forward we could see a couple of Dewesque goals.

Well done guys. Hopefully we win tonight and make it a good GF! If not, can't bring myself to back North so will be on the Hawks for the GF. Coming over for the GF irrespective of whether we win or lose tonight so is there any suggestions of pubs that are footy friendly and places to avoid (serious answers please!).
Cheers :thumbsu:
London Tavern, Richmond Club.....good pubs close to the G that get a heap of footy followers pregame. Can't go wrong with either of those.

The Royal on Punt rd too, if you like the ladies. Oh, and the cricketers arms, about 100m down the road.

Definitely wearing our home jumper. Just need to hope now that we get to wear the brown shorts

(in before predictable pooping your pants jokes)
I can't see an issue between us wearing royal shorts and your brown shorts.. that damn rubbery white shorts policy. In any event we need to win tonight first.. not getting ahead of myself there

Hope the meeja spend the whole of the next seven days talking West Coast up. After all, that worked so well for Freo in 2013, and Sydney last year...

So, which club is Clarko going to coach next season then? :drunk:

I don't think Gunners coming in will make us too tall.
If Suckers goes to Sub, Gunners can play half forward and back when he needs to.

I think its Billy that has to miss this time.

Unless they decide we need leg speed in the last quarter.

Bad omen.

The weather has a bit of 1987 about it (with the extended finals series)

Hope I'm wrong though

More like 2008. :)

The club will say they don't care who they come up against next week, but I rekon deep down they want WC. They made us look second rate and will want some redemption and show that the big games are played at the G and we were way way off our best.
good point

As much as I love Gunners I read somewhere that we've won 9 out of 11 games that he hasn't played in with last night being the 10th out of 12. He's a vital player but not worth the risk if he's not 100% considering we don't rely on him like a Freo relies on Fyfe for example.

and Hartung is fit and gives his all.. Just imagine what a player he will be a a year or two... love Gunners of course...but

I can help. If we make it through we will wear our royal kit as it is an 'away game' for the purposes of our guernsey sponsors so will be wings vs stripes. No power rangers! The QF was the worst.. tripanel (last game tonight for it it seems!) vs power rangers haha.

So whats next years going to be ?

Personally I would prefer North because I don't think we could lose against them, no team has ever come from eighth and won it. (Probably the reason they won't get past the Eagles though)

Will be the 4th GF I've attended in a row, how I wish I could go back in time and tell myself seeing as I was born in 92, my mind would be blown. Then just to troll myself I'd say we lost them all. Screw you me.
