Backline again, suprise suprise.

Adcock v MJ.

Normally I have favourites in each position I stick to and build a team around those guys but this year there's plenty of new faces I wouldn't normally consider. Will either go two ways. It'll either pan out or I'll crash and burn. Either way I'll enjoy the show!
MJ for me.
Unsure on Adcock.

Pick one:

S. Mitchell / D. Swan / L. Dalhaus.

(Via DPP swap)

I would go Swanny. I think similar scoring plus Mitchell would be more prone to injury.

I need 35k so I'm tossing up between;

Hibberd > Newnes

Or

Clancee Pearce > B. Goodes ?

Edit: This is assuming Hibberd doesn't get suspended and Goodes gets elevated.

Which 2 players as M4 & M5:

Fyfe & Wines/Griffen

V

JPK & Danger/Stevie J
I like JPK/Danger.

I'm torn.

Lachie Neale or Ollie Wines for M5?

And Josh Gibson, yes or no?

Wines out of the two.

I like Gibson. Played 2 NAB games with both over 100 scores(160 against the Roos). Will be allowed abit more freedom as that floating def now that Frawley has come across allowing for more intercept marks. He is used out of the backline a lot to setup moving fwd and has a great leg on him. Even if/when Lake or Frawley miss he could still be used as that floating def with maybe Spangher getting a call up to play key back. If not, he spent all last year as a key back and avg 92.5.

Sold! Do you work in real estate?

S Martin or Minson?

I think Stef will score like a midfielder, however he's priced like one. I'd be surprised if he finished the year on less than 110 with the way he plays(even with Leuie). But I also think Minson will finish with 100+.

Stef the higher scorer but $100,000 to be used elsewhere could definitely be handy.

I reckon Danger has a better chance of averaging 115+

Goldstein & Bontempelli vs Minson/NicNat & Swan
Goldy Bonts.

I've personally switched Swan>Bartel

On paper Bartel seems better pick. Factoring in NAB performance of course. Tigers / Lids has much easier early draw, but of that injury niggle too.

Cats - Hawks, Dockers, Suns, Roos, Tigers.
Tigers - Blues, Bulldogs, Lions, Dees, Cats.

Think this will do my head in for the next 10 days or so.

Bartel is generally immune to difficult draws. Historically he always stands up for his team in difficult/clutch moments. The bigger the game, the higher his score.

True.

Just worries me Hawks straight up. Bartel went 102, 68 and 97 (QF) vs them last season. Went 88, 103 and 85 (PF) in 2013.

Lids vs Blues. Had 92 last season. Went 116, 143 and 121 (EF) in 2013.

I know both maybe slightly different roles now, but need that flying start!

Either would work, but the possibility of Pearce taking Crowleys run with role has me leaning towards the second option, Goodes is looking good this preseason.

If Goodes doesnt get elevated then go option 1.

Geary v B Goodes?

Goodes is elevated.

S Martin or Minson?

Minson, that fact he has no competition for the ruck makes him a more solid choice imo.
