Alex Pearce from Fremantle anyone? He's played 2 games and missed this week due to back bruising (according to SC). Could any Fremantle supporters advise me as to whether he will get regular games and what type of defender he is? Tempting at 123k - nice downgrade from Brown.

Would only take 1 bad game but I would think he at least plays next week. Was pretty good when he came on and kicked a really good goal at an important stage. I know the club love him and were stoked and pretty surprised he was still there at our second round pick, so they will be pretty keen to get games into him, but I imagine his slight frame at this stage will limit his scoring ability/job security. Will be in and out throughout the year I would say.

Is it worth bringing in someone like Dick in ? Don't know how he's going in the 2s, but i was thinking of using him as a DPP link and generate a few dollars...any thoughts?

Very unlikely to get any more games.
Dawson is back from injury now and more than likely will be playing for Peel until we rest Macca/Johnson/Ibbo or get an injury. Alex Pearce will sit behind Dawson on the pecking order now. The only reason Alex Pearce got games was because both Dawson and Silvagni were out injured.

I didn't see any of the North game on the weekend but Dumont apparently ended up with 5 touches and, more importantly, 3 tackles after coming on in the last quarter. Not many people on the North board are suggesting he will be dropped, especially given he looked like he tried, which you couldn't say about a lot of our other players. It's a shame we play Sunday, but if he gets picked I wouldn't expect him to get the vest again

I agree, probably only a 20% chance. However if he does get named for a full game, then he's a good pick compared to a lot of the other downgrade options that are currently available.

Herald Sun reported it as 1-2 weeks in that barometer thing they do, but he only had surgery on a broken thumb last week...

Hepps was a broken hand, and he had surgery within 90 minutes which was extremely lucky/unusual. A thumb would be different, and I'm assuming he didn't walk into a hospital and go straight to surgery.

Yep correct. To add further when Heppell did it Doc Reid was at training, he called his surgeon mate for a favour and they immediately drove to the hospital and operated straight away!

Who knows these days? Subs make it a guessing game. I was astounded Billy Stretch was dropped. Came on as the sub and was o.k. Hard to come on cold as a 18/19yo rookie in to a game with men who are almost three quarters in to a game. Tough for a guy to get his first game and sit on a bike for three quarters too.
