The West Coast Eagles have today informed three young players that their contracts with the club will not be extended.

Senior list utility player Dylan Main and rookie-listed forward Rowen Powell and midfielder Will Maginness have been delisted.

None of them managed a senior game in their two seasons at the club, but all were strong contributors and important players within the squad.

“This is the toughest part of the year, telling young men that their football dreams will not be fulfilled at the West Coast Eagles,” said Craig Vozzo General Manager – Football. “Dylan, Rowen and Will are all quality young men and we sincerely hope they get opportunities elsewhere.

“On behalf of the club I would like to thank each of them for their contribution to the West Coast Eagles. None of them played senior football, but they were very much a part of what we achieved as a squad in 2015.”

Powell might be picked up elsewhere and Maginness and Dylan Main both with talent but been unlucky with injury etc .

Maginness and Main were obvious ones. Ropo is a little bit of a surprise but he would have struggled for a debut.

My thoughts exactly, we would take 1 if not 2 picks in the draft add then Jetta and or Redden. Think there could be 2 more senior list delistings. Cant think of any prime rookie downgrades we may utilise?

Powell and Main were both project players, so it is a little baffling to me that both have had their papers stamped, but probably a strong indicator we're going to use the rookie draft this year with Magginness and Powell going.

Magi ness couldn't get his body right and main was a big underwhelming when he did play so those two aren't a big surprise

Powell delisted are you fking kidding? Showed some good signs after playing league footy come the end of the season. He has waaay more upside than McGinnity, Lucas and Tunbridge. Surely we could have kept him on for another year or two...

Think it depends, Selwood is gone also, I wonder if they know if another team is going to offer paddy something ? He is unrestricted lol.

Outside that it wouldn't surprise me if one or two guys who aren't getting opportunities might be involved in trades... Colledge? McInnes?

Hopefully the club aren't entertaining idea to trade out lycett or Sinclair.

Hoping for something like...
Out: Selwood, mcginnity, waters, main and trade out colledge.
In: one or two trades, two draftees and matera assuming he picks us.
See no reason to upgrade Newman or Lucas.
