On the other side of the coin it would not surprise me if Sydney had a big run at Leuey. Pyke was hopeless and given his age I would expect then to try and bring in an alternative.

Might be tricky for them to lure him given their trading restrictions. Can only offer him money below the league average salary.

They can't have the Luey we saw last week!!! Let's hope he fronts up this week.
Would love to throw some coin at Adam Oxley, geez we missed one there!

Yeah always be wary of the average player in an elite team. Better teams always create more space and time for their foot soldiers. And generally work harder to find space for them to kick/handball to.

Browny wouldn't stop talking about Charlie Dixon last night on FoxFooty. Idk how much influence Browny still has at the club though.
Also likes Tom Lynch. Seems likely you guys will have one of them by the start of 2016.

Interesting how the writer says "the Lions believe they trail Geelong for Henderson's services". Would've thought we'd be able to offer more money, especially if, as you'd predict, Dangerfield would be their number one target.

The Cats certainly aren't crying out for a tall like we are, with Taylor, Lonergan, Rivers, Clark & Hawkins up their sleeve... hmm
Taylor , Lonergan , Rivers are all very mature. Rivers will probably be gone at years end (knees shot) , so its probably why we are looking at defensive talls. You would have more to offer... more money , higher pick... perhaps better player to trade... its probably about convincing Henderson on where he wants to finish his career.

The match today only reinforces our desperate need for a Key tall and a Key back. Sure we've got young blokes who can play that position but they will have bad days like today alot over the next few years as they develop so we need to find some mature guys to help them out.

Suckling fans watching the game tonight?

Do. Not. Want.

I was at the game last night and yes he stuffed the last kick up but he did hit a few up that created goals. A ball he hit Rioli with in the third was superb. I am not saying I want him but you have to provide a balanced argument too not just on the one kick.

Who said anything about the one kick?

He was terrible. They wanted him lynched on the Hawks board before he even did that terrible kick late.

His a FA. He can walk out if he wants to and we would get nothing if we end up getting Rance.
Lot's of if's here but:
If Rance decided we wanted to accept an offer from us and Leuy decided to accept one from somewhere else.
If we were sure we could get a compo pick for Luey after our first rounder.
If we finished say 17th and Richmond finished 9th.
Could we trade for Rance by offering Richmond pick 2 for their pick 9, or some other funky trade that would keep Richmond happy?

Yes. Port traded for Monfries under similar circumstances - they didn't want to negate their Chaplin and Pearce compensation picks.

Yes possibly. But if leuy where to leave we wouldn't get a first round pick for him anyways. I'd rather rance in with pick 2 and leuy out.

I like how you assumed they are going to finish 9th, classic.
