I hope we retain Whitecross. He played his best game for Box Hill yesterday, and I feel next year is the year he gets a clear run at it.

I love WhiteX but this just seems like the team would be moving backwards if we played him next year.

Need to give others a chance to solidify a spot in the 22 next year.

Hawthorns time is getting (if it isn't already) uncomfortably old.

We must move heaven and earth to get Lennon across to Hawthorn. Once we do this we then do the same to get Mcartney across as an assistant. Once this is done we will then have Lennon and McCartney at the club

It's a shame the Liberals missed the chance to have Abbott and Costello!

The closest people to Bennell think he may revert back to his bad habits if he remains in WA, after consolidating a promising AFL career.
I know he is young and possibly impressionable, but it's a reflection of someone who is immature, lacks the desire to succeed, and lacks responsibility. I'm sure this will put some clubs off.

I always thought we can take the risk with him....I personally would love him at the Hawks, but now I'm content either way, whether we get him or not.

The Dayle Garlett situation is vastly different but I can't help remembering him whenever I think of Bennell.

Read it in context. That is exactly what they are saying.

PD is only considering Adelaide and Geelong according to his manager and yesterday ruled Hawthorn out.

I don't know what you expect but fair to say he won't be at Hawks.....Not a troll at all but some posters thought you would get him so clearly relevant.
You are niave to believe what comes out of a manager's mouth.
I don't think there is any possibility on Danger becoming a Hawk, but it's good to throw a baited hook out there and get a bight!

Never thought we'd get Danger - not because of cap issues - because if he left the Crows then all logic pointed to him going 'home'. Imagine being paid top dollar to go play for the club you supported as a kid in the community you grew up in. Let the Cats fans have their moment - Danger makes an okay side a top 8 side (look at the Crows during his tenure there) but he doesn't make them a threat. Geelong have a long way to go to be contenders - especially if West Coast and Freo improve their lists in the offseason and Richmond maybe end up with Bennell.

Liam Pickering also said that Buddy had only spoken to GWS..

Except in that phone interview when he totally had the Freudian slip but the hacks he was speaking to just laughed it off.

prob not worth much but Alastair Lynch on the bounce on fox footy alluded to not count the Hawks out in the race for Dangerfield.

I thought the look that Danger gave Hodge after copping a fair solid hip and shoulder was fair strange. It was a mix between -

"Bugger / Ow"
"Doesn't he know Im patty Dangerfield!?"
"What was that for?"
"You are mean..." and...
"Don't you WANT me to play for you next year!"

Bennell alone would make me happier than Dangerfield. His upside is incredible - he could be one of the top 5 players in the game if he gets the right system around him.

Sounds like a bloody good argument to me.
Ha, yeah, I never knew that heading into rooms during or after a game to see some mates meant that you were automatically signing up to play with that club.

Danger coming to visit Clarko last year must mean he's signing a 9 year deal with us then.
