Agree with you on Jonty being a good prospect. He is a no nonsense blue collar midfielder and I would be happy even if classified as a reach.
I've viewed a few tapes of his - his ability to get the ball is excellent, but his vision and delivery is actually quite poor. He was very bad in the U18 allstar game particularly. He is tried and tested at SANFL level, but he needs a lot of work on his skills and vision.

Taranto seems like an uber safe bet but surely no chance he'd last to ~14. I can see him going top 5.

Marsden may be a slight reach with our first but apparently can train the house down
Scrimshaw and Logue have similar risk/reward.

I'm no expert but I was asking about rainbow a few months back. Pretty sure he just hasn't developed as expected but this may be a coaching/ game plan thing. Chooses to kick backwards etc and isn't damaging. Anyways pretty sure he won't amount to much if the blues have given up after 2 years. Shame tho I thought he'd be good

I remember SOS shaking his head when Carlton picked up boekherst instead of laverdae . Then they jumped the gun at rainbow who was rated to go much later .

I wanted rainbow with our 2nd. His dash and penetrating kick off half back certainly 'looked' appealing at the time.
He must have sucked something bad in the VFL though for carlton to ditch him after only 2 seasons. (Ave 14 touches from 18 games in 2016)

Yeek! Carlton has one of the worst lists and their delisting's would likely be amongst the worst few players going round.

Think we will take Scrimshaw or Florent if available and draft Drew with our second. I personally would prefer Venables to Florent or take a risk with Bolton if we can get Drew with our 2nd.

Well they did get rid of Garlett for absolute peanuts. Pretty much a 4th rounder. Was annoyed to miss out.
He has since joined arguably another basket case team in Melbourne, and has kicked 40 goals and 29 goals (17 games) in the past 2 seasons. And that's with Melbourne, not the flat trackers.
Would have been a perfect fit as a crumbing forward at the feet of Darling and JK imo.
