captain choices are reasonably easy that week as well

Danger VC locked

Plus Hawks v Collingwood finishes during that last game. Pendles Sidey Treloar Gibbo Mitchell Birchall lots of opportunity for late sunday carnage.

Looks like we can just discount the leader.

The only sensible decision they could make to keep credibility in SC system :thumbsu:

Teams 2 & 3 may also be interested in this - note enters, doesn't mean participates, just means enters.

Seymour Skinner could well be 3rd atm

and of course Gingy / aka Krujan gets a noteable mention

Also interesting that the rules mention nothing about removing teams. Just says that anyone with multiple teams will be ineligible for prizes. Doesn't say you can't continue to play with multiple teams, just that you won't be allowed to win if you do so. Seems to me the fact that they have removed the leader's lower ranked team suggests that they are trying to do everything possible to not disqualify him for some reason.
I'm guessing their reasoning is about viewing negative press associated with having to disqualify the competition leader as being a bad look for the them. But I would argue having an ineligible contestant win the competition by not enforcing your own published rules would be a worse look. Am I right?
Integrity is everything when you are running a competition, or at least it should be.

Team 3 - no evidence to suggest same person apart from team name and coach being VERY similar

Ranked 3rd - team ID: 174944
Ranked 106th - team ID 29593

Lowest ranked team created 1st

Team 4: maybe co-incidence, maybe not?

Makes for some big decisions for Mr Supercoach

Champion_Data do you have a stance on this or any insider knowledge?

when you search rivalries all of the leaders teams can still be seen

not sure if any are active

they have acknowledged to me via email that he did have two teams and they rapidly removed his 2nd team (not sure about his 3rd team tho) - i can still see all 3.
removing his "2nd" team was a knee jerk reaction - then the twitter shit storm blew up and they issued their blanket statement to all supercoachers

so based on the above he is ineligible for any prize

Awesome. Took them a while to get there but the right outcome in the end :thumbsu:
I'm sure some toxic badgering helped immensely.

A strong sense of justice in this one, hmmm

The Hun, no match for an angry toxic

They are all very dubious looking teams and coaches names.
The fact they've looked after both teams and used very similar names with both being ranked close together is what stands out like dogs balls.

The odds of one guy called louie and one louis being with in a 100 spots of eachother is rare enough. The fact their team names are very similar just gives it away.

Not hard to look at a DNS report and find out if both teams access SC through the same IP address.

no idea what a DNS report is?

Louis is the odd one out - currently 2nd
His other team looks like it was created / entered but is ranked 190,000 odd and doesn't appear to have been changed etc ever (according to something i read somewhere on one of the 10,000 twitter convos going on about it all)

The Domain Name System (DNS) is ahierarchical decentralized naming system for computers, services, or any resource connected to the Internet or a private network. It associates various information with domain names assigned to each of the participating entities. Most prominently, it translates more readily memorized domain names to the numerical IP addresses needed for the purpose of locating and identifying computer services and devices with the underlying network protocols. By providing a worldwide, distributed directory service, the Domain Name System is an essential component of the functionality of the Internet.

Oh of course

When you type in a web address (ie, bigfooty.com), you browser uses DNS to look up the appropriate IP address, then your computer goes there.

Tracking which IP addresses log into which accounts would have nothing to do with the DNS, however, you'd expect VS to log IP addresses against logins to report on such things.

Yep that's what I was thinking

Friday beer time

I am an IT geek. When you connect to your isp, most have floating IP addresses and assign you one that is free when you connect to the internet (which will be your external IP address). Each house/computer does not have a unique IP address. Therefore VS would only know the ISP that accessed the account from the IP address and not the individual.

If VS wanted to track the individual they would need to get the ISP to provide that data, which they would not have the power to do (unless the had a court order).

Not to mention people access accounts from work, home, mobile, etc..... which all will have different IP addresses.

Basically, VS dont have the power to track users from ip addresses/location. They basically only have the account details used to create the account

So they went in blind when removing the leading coaches other two teams?

I dont play Supercoach, but with fantasy/rdt when you sign up you need to provide details. eg. Name/email/etc... 10 bucks says the guy used the same name from all reports.

I can guarantee they dont have access to ISP records.

Yeah there are a few teams named very similar and with coaches names abbreviated.

Makes it hard for them if they are deleting teams purely based on that though.
