On face value the Hrovat trade is an absolute steal for North - I can't imagine he would've been in a position to demand too much in the way of a contract, so I can only deduce that perhaps Silvagni simply doesn't rate him highly (which I personally don't understand, given the relative weakness of our midfield stocks).

Geelong wouldn't have done that, because i think Smedts injury history is why the Cats threw in a future first rounder. Caddy played more often and is a better player. Like i said, all deals are different

Poor disposal too. If he can't get consistent games in Collingwood's understrength backline then I'm not sure he's worth anything but a very late pick.

No its not. They need future picks for next year so get what they want. Its a trade that no-one 'loses' because the list management teams at these clubs know what they're doing.
