Yep, been confirmed he tore a quad muscle prior to the game.

I spoke to him and Cyril on Friday night and Zac told he he did it 2 minutes into the warm up and will be having scans early in the week.

Poor kid had 30 family and mates up in Launny ready to watch him make his debut.

I don't think Burgoyne was part of the 29 man squad. The three who were omitted were L.Langford, Tatupu and Pittonet.

Burgoyne has rated him as the best young performer on the track this pre-season.

They have either succumbed to injury (G Boyer, T Boyle, M Bailey etc), gone on to forge great careers at other clubs (G Ablett snr, B Scott, J Kennedy) or shamed themselves publicly (R Nixon, A Demetriou).

The club should just look at the data and stop giving the number out.
