TOTY (team of the year) Candidates atm?
My thoughts from each team
Diamond Creek- Moloney, Kavanagh
Fitzroy Stars- Benjamin, Francis, Hood, Burns
Hurstbridge- Burton, Shaw, Simpson
Lalor- Hughes, Jacobs, King
North Heidelberg- Harvey, Florance, Bramich
Panton Hill- Blake, Scarce, Duckworth
Thomastown- Rizzolio, Cupo

Doggies nominations would be Florance, Harvey, Lonergan all in, others to have worthy years Jesse T/ Kyle Mac/ Leigh Gilbert & Bramich.

Put a line through Hurstbridge.

Sad really.
From what I saw on Saturday too much in fighting at Hurstbridge. Burns was a disgrace yelling to the coaches box "get him off, he farkin does it every week". Club would be better off without him. North got the jump on them & from then she was all over, challenged in the third but North were full of run in the last quarter with plenty in the tank. If Doggies remain close to a full list will be hard to knock off.

Was one of the more fearsome sprays I have
heard towards a teammate. Quite embarassing really.

Approaching finals time and the speculation is starting to occur as to what would happen if Fitzroy Stars won the flag. Have heard that a couple of weeks ago a discussion took place re their preparedness to compete in div 1, should they earn the right. Not prepared was the answer I've heard.

What a farce. Why play if you are not going to go up if you earn the right. Am sure North are keen to win and go up no matter how tough Division One is. Ditto Hurstbridge and Diamond Creek.

What a load of shit. The aim is to go up to Div 1 and then to win Div 1, has been for years. Obviously still a long way to go, but not sure where you get your mail from, but can say it's incorrect to say the least.

Sigh. This comes up every year.

Let's get real and quash this from the start instead of speculating on a hypothetical that wont eventuate. You win, you go up, as has occurred every year. And for the most part the club joining Div 1 has not been prepared as they've come straight back down. No doubt the Stars will step up to Division 1 as best they can if they can get the win.

I think it's clear to everyone that North would be most experienced / prepared to take on Div 1 due to their past experience.

Anyone from Hurstbridge confirm a little story I heard about a certain player who was given a club imposed ban after an incident, rocking up to training and having a go at his teammates then driving off. If he isn't there in finals could hurt them as well.

Battle of the cellar dwellers and cross high st rivals Saturday thommo and lalor. Anyone even give a hoot about this? Tipping thommo just in a less than impressive game with no atmosphere. Imagine the bloods won that game against whitt how they would have faired in the top flight?

Have heard the same rumour. I heard he turned up to training and was told of his ban and then went out and asked rather loudly which of his teammates squealed on him.

No loss in my opinion

Is this the guy who sprayed his teammate at Nth Heidelberg? If so you dont need guys like that in your team, no matter how good he is.

Probably no one cares. But still good for a rivalry for two teams that have nothing to gain or lose.
My assumption is that both teams have given up on the year abit knowing that they couldn't be relegated which is a negative.
Lalor kick one extra goal last year at cramers and i think they would have had an extra long year.... interesting times for both teams going into next year!

Suprised no one has commented on the dogs win on the weekend. Im not sure who stars had out on the weekend if anyone but considering the dogs were smashed there 1st time around and the stars had just recently done a number on hurstbridge and to beat the stars on their own deck from 5 goals down during the 3rd qtr is a super effort.

So a couple of question for you all.

1) Does anyone think that hurstbridge will go out in straight sets
2) Does anyone think that hurstbridge will beat the dogs
3) Also what kind of shape is epping recreational reserve is in
4) Does anyone think that diamo will knock the stars out
