Cook has a lot of negatives as in he is not a leader and as a QB could be a ryan leaf bust as he was not well liked among his team while hackenburg did not quit penn state after all the college punishment
I know all of this.

Not many had Hack going before Cook. I like Hack more than most, just find it surprising

Wonder if it will force the boys to move up

so true what charles davis is criticizing about the jets...

they have now THREE recently drafted QBs who they're all still trying to develop or figure out who could take the reins....geno smith, bryce petty, hackenberg.
Put a line through Geno

Jets selected Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg with the No. 51 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.

Hackenberg (6'4/223) looked like a future No. 1 overall NFL pick under Bill O'Brien before spending the last two seasons struggling mightily in James Franklin's offense. In 2014-2015, Hackenberg completed just 54.8% of his throws with a 6.53 YPA and 28:21 TD-to-INT ratio. As a 38-game starter, Hackenberg's career record was 21-17. Although Hackenberg is a plus athlete with NFL size and arm strength, he is a scattershot ball locator with major technical flaws and absorbed 104 career sacks. Hackenberg offers growth potential -- he turned 21 in February whereas Carson Wentz will turn 24 later this year -- but he is clearly a multi-year project. The Jets drafted another project in Bryce Petty last year and, as of now, will rely on Geno Smith as the team's starter.
