Rumors on facebook going around that we have offered Jamie MacLaren a marquee contract.
I like this a lot. Don't see it happening though. Surely better exposure for him over there.

I rate Milligan as a player, really highly, but I just can't continue to support this club if we keep taking shots to the face like this. If he stayed with us he would have still made the World Cup and been one of our greats and a 3-4 year captain, we need to let ex-players be ex-players.

Rhys Williams off to Saudi Arabia according to the world game.

Would be a big loss for us. Really short on centre backs now

Going to be a very different victory side next year. In b4 we sign Milligan ansell Rojas and bring the old band back

Meh.. if it’s a decent enough transfer fee i’ll take the Arab money. Rhys is good but he’s replaceable after all we did win it without him!
Looks like we will have a shit load of free space in the cap!

Time to start spending!

I would've thought Williams would've earned enough money in England to set himself up.

It seems strange that, after injuries kind of ended his career in England, he comes back to Australia... and as soon as he starts to get his body right only having to play one game a week he'd leave again. I hope for his sake that the calf injury from the semi final warm up isn't a sign of things to come. In the AFL they call the calf an old mans injury.

They want to start doing it soon too. We're in the midst of membership season where they're hassling us to re-sign, to reserve our seats etc.

I'm buggered if I think World Cup fever is going to result in membership renewals for the Victory; I don't think the championship win automatically results in sign ups either given the current stank on the league - they desperately need to make some signings that will get us excited.

At the moment I still think I'll just end up with a GA membership for both grounds, cos I find that a bit easier to stomach if/when I only go to 4 games a season (as I did last year after spending about $200 on a membership) - but I'm hanging by a thread at the moment. It's not the Victory's fault, but the league just isn't exciting me in the slightest at the moment. (Also, the more A-League I attended at Docklands, the less I wanted to go. I know Heart are a junk, embarrassment of a club and a disgrace to the league, but I do envy that they play all their games at Swan St.)

Heard Nick Ansell is a possible return as well. Whilst he'd be a decent replacement for Williams it's just another recycled player.

When we've signed players like Delpierre and Baro recently I often wonder why we aren't more adventurous.

I’m in the same boat as you nobby.

Just a few little things the club has done is rubbing me up the wrong way.
Getting an email from the club 15 mins after the GF win to buy GF merchandise is a bit of a cop out imo. Just celebrate it for what it was for a moment before trying to flog off overpriced memorabilia.

The leagues gone stale as all hell. I was struggling for motivation to go to games at the back end of last season, all was a bit meh.

So $254 for 14 games might seem ok but realistically I’ll probably only want to attend half of those games at best. Completely over attending Victory games at Etihad so there’s 5 there that doesn’t bother me.

$135 for a 5 game membership is most likely what I’ll do. It might be some of the lesser sides at AAMI Park but so be it.

I'd forgotten about this. Assuming it still comes with the member pack - cos I've become a total Vuck who cares about moving up the colour rankings - that's almost certainly the option I'll go with.

I don't like us playing at Etihad but can understand why we need to do it. What shits me is the scheduling. We should be playing our 5 Etihad games in December/January when it's hot. 20 degree day in October and we are indoors. 40 degrees mid January and sweating bullets at AAMI. Come on.
