What are people’s thoughts on selecting Lynn?

It's a no for me. Hoping he has a quite one to start, and there's every chance he will having not played any cricket for a good while. Then go Watson and Buttler to Lynn and Peirson in rd 2 if it still looks like a good move, hopefully with cash to spare for the 3rd trade.

  • I have played previously but have joined a super competitive comp this year and would appreciate some feedback on my team please.

    Batters:
Finch, Mccullum, head, Wade, Blizzard (Wiley, Carey)

    Keepers:
    Butler (Inglis)

    Bowlers:
Watson, Maxwell, McClenaghan, Faulkner, Bird (Paris, Valente)

    $29k left in the bank.

Notes on a couple of my selections:
Blizzard - if he opens the batting at that price it’s a no brainer plus the DG in round 1. If he doesn’t open then I’ll look at other options
Wade - every chance to open the batting and at that price is bound to make money.
McClenaghan - good value and should be thunders number 1 bowler this season. T20 specialist. Plus has the DG in round 1.
Faulkner - backing him in to get back to his best
Valente - but risky but think he is a chance with the heat not having a lot of choice after cutting and Steketee

Gives me 4 Double gamers in round 1 plus a head start on double gamers in round 2.
I really like it but I think Peirson is a better pick than Wade. Apart from that I'm struggling to find fault with it. Personally I would play a maximum of 1 star given they have a bye in round 3 and no double game till round 9 but Faulkner and Maxwell are good picks so it may well be beneficial to start with both

Thanks for the advice on wade to Pierson. Had a look and Wade batted at 4 for the hurricanes in the practice match against the thunder so may not open. Plus saves a trade for a double gamer in round 2

More changes, I've added another 6er as they play the first game in each of the 1st 3 rounds which means there are great loophole opportunities (and I've got some nice dual position players to complement that). Then the Sixers have the double game in round 4.

What it means is that now I have 4 Thunder players, 4 Heat, 3 Scorchers, 3 Strikers and 2 Sixers. As I've said before I've basically set my team up as well as possible for the first 4 rounds and then from round 5 onwards ill start looking at Stars, Renegades and Canes players.

I am really stumped as who to use instead of Wright.
Ferguson with the double in Round 1 would be a good choice
Otherwise Henriques, White and Stoinis are solid enough selections at that price

I'm going with Ferguson in Round 1, and then will trade in Cutting for Round 2
Also starting Dwayne Bravo, and possibly trading to Willey at Round 2

Still 1 player short in the 'elite league' if anyones keen.

I'm keen if you still have a spot, was top5 overall heading into the final round, bombed out going unique trying to catch the final few.

Who are the Thunder players everyone is loading up on this week. Watson and Butler are walk up IMO, currently go with McKay and Sandhu.

Have the cash to go one of those to Mitchell McClenaghan but don't know enough about him.
