A lot of whining from Rich members not being able to secure tickets.

I'm so sad for them...
I was trying to get some tickets as going via melbourne to adelaide for the eagles game. Put in Tigers - no tickets, leave blank - no tickets put in cats - tickets.
Looks like i'm jumping on for the night.

Ticketek and the AFL need a please explain as to why:

A) Not all tickets avaliable to non-MCC and AFL reserves were not avaliable to Club Members during the pre-sale
B) Club members were not able to buy at least one extra ticket per membership
C) During Public Access, you had to type CATS or TIGERS to get access to tickets, and confusing people who have now missed out.

I hope the AFL reserve tomorrow goes smoothly, if I miss out I will not be very happy at all.

Welcome friend.

You'll be in better company surrounded by us than the ferals, that's for sure.

To be honest, I think the restriction of one ticket per member is reasonable given how hard even that has been for many people.

Agreed 100%, but club member allocation should not have exhausted, unless there were no seats available at all for purchase for the general public.

That's an interesting one. The idea that the public can still buy tickets and have some saved for them has some merit. But if the current situation continues then clearly the value of a membership becomes devalued.

Personally, I think 3 game members should not have access to the full members allocation either.

I kinda agree.

I dont really care- but I agree.

As for members wanting to go with non-members, maybe it could have been MAX of 1-2 non members per purchase. So if you had a group of 8, you couldnt bring along 8 non members, there was like some kind of cap.

I think one "guest" per membership is fair, so 4 members can each bring a "guest" for a party of 8. But the allocation should not have exhausted, only to be opened again at 2pm for the general public. Members should not be missing out.

These bloody Richmond fans are invading our bays, I can see this will end up like the 11 GF where I was the only cats fan in the bay that randomly ended up next to a Pies fan. Was not happy with who ever that random Geelong member was who sold their ticket to the Pies fan.

They're not missing out- they just gotta wait until Wednesday.

But yeah I agree, they still shouldnt have to wait. And god knows what kind of seats they're gonna be offered, ie. nosebleed.

Wednesday? I was talking about Club Members, and the AFL allocating an arbitrary number of seats for presale before the general public had access at 2pm today. Why not give Club members access to the whole allotment, and anything left over the general public can then access at 2pm?

AFL members go on sale tomorrow, from a different 25,000 allotment and they can buy up to 4 guest passes per membership. That will sell out quick.

I kind of think your first sentence is at odds with your last, when you consider how many members there are these days.

Oh yeah I must have gotten mixed up with AFL.
