Hope you guys don't mind me jumping into this thread but good luck for this game.
Don't give JK room to run into. If you get players to fill the empty space that wet toast creates then he won't get all the simple uncontested marks. Same with McGovern at the other end.
That said, they play like turkeys away from Subi with their tame umps, so I'm really hoping for you guys to get up

He kicked 7 straight on Hombsch when they played us in 2016 and they won by 8 points. Hombsch was our best defender at the time but we were also killed in the rucks 71-15, that won't happen this time with Ryder back for us and no Naitanui. Earlier this year we should have won, we kicked 12.15 to 15.7, had 68 inside fifties to 39 and Kennedy kicked 2.3.

I'll take this advice on board and do whatever it takes to ensure that I try my absolutely best to make this happen. :p

Yeah, I'm sure your coach doesn't need to be told and it's easier said than done but here's hoping.

I reckon Richmond would rather play the eagles than you guys anyway as I could see you doing them as well. This years Bulldogs?

We've never been eliminated first week of finals under this system.

Only time we've gone out in Week 1 was in 1999 against Wayne Carey's North Melbourne, and that was 2nd vs 7th.

First week elimination is a very foreign concept to us.
Hopefully that remains the case, as I'm rather concerned about us entering a knockout final on the back of 2 consecutive byes......

Whoa, pump the brakes. We can't afford to look past this week!!!! (well OK - next week....)

This wait is going to be agonising :tired::tired::tired:
Was counting down the days earlier. It's 11 to go. Counted again thinking it was yesterday since I last counted. It's still 11 to go. Will be the longest 11 days of my life.

Now that we're in the finals we might as well get ahead of ourselves and predict what we're going to do. Not our players, that can lead to disaster but we're supporters so it's what we do. After West Coast we will have Adelaide or GWS, I'd love to have Adelaide for three reasons, no travel for a second week, to piss off KG and to have a 50/50 crowd. And if we win the silence from Channel 7 will be so sweet. We'd be likely to have Geelong after that and hopefully wouldn't get the same reaming with frees we did last time. In the finals umpires let it go more. Still would expect Sydney to be a heavy favourite but you can never tell what will happen at the end of September.

West coast have played some great footy the last two weeks. Surprised to see they aren't favourites

West Coast will never be favourites away from home even if the evidence(5-1 at AO) says they should be. As to the great football in the last two weeks; GWS have given most top 8 teams a chance at Spotless and in fact they just got over Freo there. They are always good for a win at Domain and Adelaide seemed a bit down apart from their 3 midfield players. Even then Adelaide were cutting down the lead at the end. And Adelaide were ensconced in top spot.
