i dont think he should get the next best by draft order this time. No offence richcogs lol. But he said he was gona have access to wifi last night and shouldve made a decent enough shortlist.

Will leave it to Unknown Caller to decide. I don't know if anyone has ever had a pick beyond the first round time out but I suspect it'll be Logue if he does time out. For all we know he has a shortlist setup anyway or he could get on an make a selection. Time will tell

Wouldn't really be at panic stations. There's 10 hours on the timer and there's the overnight period too. It's not like we're rushing the draft are we?
Making great timing so far, if anyone has special circumstances it is him being located in the philapeans atm doesn't help him. If he was in Australia and timing out then fine make the effort but he has some a decent excuse imo.
Also as he has been on he should have a list by now so there is that too!
I've reached for Mutch. I wonder who you guys thought I was going to take. Logue is not my type of player. Few defenders I considered.

I think you were expected to post on bigfooty your delistments - as you posted nothing before the deadline, they just took off the two players off who had retired or been delisted from the AFL - that is why there are only two picks.

Same, depending on how some of the picks to come pan out there's some really strong players available in that range where LWP and Tutty have loaded up.

24. Zac Fisher
Stoked I got my guy at 24, always makes me wonder when I pick one up later than expected if everyone knows something I don't about them. Mathieson was the guy I feel I stole last season, Fisher is the equivalent this season. Blues smack bang in the middle of a rebuild and the kid has gotten some game time in both JLT matches so far. Will play at some stage this season IMO. The only knock I could think of is his size but it hasn't stopped Lachie Neale or Caleb Daniel and I don't think it'll stop Fisher. He's played seniors at WAFL level against much bigger guys and had no problem holding his own. There were other guys I considered here and I think there's some real talent left on the board but for a couple of the guys I like they're probably a long way back on their respective lists given the depth of talent around them or had some injury concerns which are still unresolved. The clubs rebuilding (Lions and Blues for example) are going to play their young blokes and it's nice to see early how my rookies are going to go.

Does that mean I don't get a pick at pick 36 Unknown Caller ? Was there a post expressly stating you had to post your delistings here and not just update your keepers. If not I think I should get a pick at pick 36.
Im sorry for not reading the board more closely if it was. I would love to be in Australia right now and on a computer with wifi, but working off a phone with SMART data in the peans on Bantayan Island isnt the best office. Currently also have 14 kids from Catholic College Bendigo with me and have another 4 school trips scheduled in the coming months so flat out. Reason I can message now is all are in bed (half the team including myself with gastro). Good news is after this year should have enough funds to build another 8 homes, bringing total to 48.
Anyway that's my plea to be given pick 36. Please let me know your thoughts?

While it is up to Unknown Caller there is a way to let richcogs draft at #36.
Give him a pick at the end of the draft and then when pick 36 comes up he can select his player in here and that player can be assigned to his late pick. Then we go on with the draft order as normal on the site.

My opinion is that it has been the same system of announcing delistings on bf since the league started. flaps lost out last year on a similair issue, so to be fair to the rules and flaps I think the draft order needs to stay as is. Whatever Unknown Caller decides though will be fine with me.

We'll wait and see what Unknown Caller decides. There is the method you've described but the issue there is we essentially need to put the draft on hold until we hear from richcogs as to who he wants then at pick 36. In the meantime the clock is running on whoever actually has pick 36 (Jimmy) and if he makes his selection in the system while we're waiting then the draft just keeps rolling on. It's the reason we didn't do it for flaps last season. The system doesn't support dropping picks into the middle of the draft and we're reliant on a series of manual steps for things to work out.
It's pretty frustrating from my perspective, most of us have been with the league for over 5 years and are aware of how things work (richcogs included). Is it too much to ask that we finally had a draft that goes off without a hitch? Apparently so, if having more than 3 months to post your delistings in the thread (the same as we do every off season) isn't enough then I've lost hope we'll ever get a draft right.
No problem. Still 9 picks until 36 so a bit of time left. Unknown Caller should be online before then. I've got 4 players I have in mind for the pick.
I am curious why you think you should get pick 36 given the rules in place and tbe example last year with flaps?
