It's a nice trade. I'm actually a little jealous i didn't jump at Richo's boy from Georgetown earlier.

As a tigers fan, i can guarantee you he will play ahead of Maric and likely ahead of Megan Gale's man for the meantime. The only player that can steal hitouts from him is Ben Griffiths or the unlikely Mabior Chol.

Tutty, where did Nankervis grow up? I thought he was a Pipers River lad :p

Interestingly, he was on my radar in the initial draft as in the Tassie league he used to pull down huge numbers, both possession wise and hit out wise.. but then appeared to stagnate up in Sydney.

Yeah his junior numbers were just crazy.

I think he will be good in a year or two but Nicholls should be up and running also.

For 2017 I think Nankervis will obviously ruck alot early but I cant help but think that when Hampson is fit he will come in and Hardwick will try to play Nankervis in the Ty Vickery spot, wresking his late season ruck stats.

Rockford really only needs him to be a ruckman for the first half of the season to cover all of his injuries. When Lycett comes back later this year, followed by Nic Nat in 2018, then Nank becomes depth but depth with potential.

Yeah he grew up in Pipers, genuinely a great guy, was always pretty quiet at school though. Back in the under 16's he would dominate, but no matter what he would always share the ball around in front of goal, especially to a young guy on the side who really was not talented at all but Toby would bring him into the game with a goal here and there. I hate that it says his junior club was Georgetown, he played all under 16s at Lilydale! Handy Cricketer also.

Warriors are keen to investigate the potential of a deal whereby I trade two of my current depth/developing players and a package of future draft picks for a bit of a gun mid with a future draft pick coming back if needed to even things up.

It could be a good trade for a team needing a slight rebuild or developing - Jordie_tackles? L_W_P? Tutty? threenewpadlocks? mrpez Zim^zuM? Danny_Bhoy?

PM me if you are interested :thumbsu:

Warriors List Changes
Warriors have been very active already this pre-season, having already used up two of their allocated five FA selections.

Shaun McKernan for Lewis Pierce
Warriors were having doubts about the decision to delist McKernan as soon as it was made official on Big Footy. Early injuries to both Leuenberger and Bellchambers confirmed the error. Pierce was the obvious player to make way with both Hickey and Longer in great form.

Francis Watson for Colin O'Riordan
Watson impressed in JLT1 and though he hasn't played again for WCE this pre-season, he did collect 23 possessions in a half of footy this weekend for East Perth vs Peel. Watson has only really been playing footy for three years, so Warriors are hoping he has a high ceiling and will develop rapidly in an AFL environment. O'Riordan seems to have fallen even further in the pecking order at Sydney who have very good depth in their half-back and wing positions.

Was monitoring Watson too, surprised you have used 2 picks so early even if mckernan makes a lot of sense just for cover.

He who hesitates is lost. There's plenty of examples of people sleeping on FA decisions only to find out that the player isn't available anymore in the morning. And there's some very good fantasy players that have been taken from the FA list.

Didn't sleep on it, didn't read about his game until this morning and before that I wasn't keen to use a FA selection off one game haha, I know how it works, actually thought it might only run every week or half not every night preseason! I live I lose

Jeremy McGovern was a FA selection, as were my two demon backs in Tom McDonald and Jayden Hunt - but most of them dont make it!

The last bit was why I didn't strike yet haha feel like I have wasted most of mine!

McGovern of the Mitch variety is good but other than that it is the injury plagued Sinclair who is of use. Otherwise I have been speculating to much haha

So was Charlie Cameron originally. And Hickey too if I can remember that far back. Was Langdon an FA selection or did you draft him before trading him to me?

Kade Stewart on my list was an FA selection.

Langdon I paid a premium for from mrpez (pick 6, 15 and then some for both him and Gleeson). Nicholls was a FA pick too..

On the flipside, I dropped Crozier about a week before he broke out for Dougal Howard...

Cameron I got as a freebie from Jordie_tackles, so better than a FA for me :p

And I am may be mistaken and not to be a prick haha but why is tenderwarrior still 9 on RFA priority? After being last to use his pick?
You were a prick last year when you made me hand over McGovern to you :p

Because the players on the FA list I selected were not RESTRICTED Free Agents. If I put in a bid for a Restricted Free Agent and won, well then I would be number 14.

Ah gotcha, and just so I understand why was mckernan and the guy unknown caller and LWP restricted? I seriiuslly don't know why
