Trade Alert

MrPeZ receives:
Tom Liberatore, Pick 12, Pick 54

Raiders receives:
Josh Dunkley, Pick 6, Pick 45

mrpez to confirm.

I'm re-invigorating my list with a bit of a youth policy. Wasn't by choice, more forced upon me by losing Naitanui for the season. Realistically, I need him to challenge and this season in particular is looking pretty difficult to win without all of the pieces in place and then things going right. Naitanui is a major piece to be missing.

I'm not planning on making wholesale changes but letting Liberatore go in exchange for (hopefully) one for the future is in keeping with the revised plan. Ward is another I'm considering (if anyone else is interested). In a trading mood after that last one.

Point was I think he hasn't joined UF either Haha
That sucks. It's tricky because most people would know its UF season and re-sign pretty much straight away. And if they don't re-sign by now are they truly interested?

@unknown_caller how long do we wait?

Danny_Bhoy had said to me last season that he wasn't sure if he was going to continue (and that was last season) and I convinced him to stay on for 2016. It's possible it's just not on his radar and who knows if he wants to play on in 2017 or not. It may be worth everyone contact Unknown Caller with contact details that they can be reached on just so situations like this can be avoided down the track.

Warriors as of start of 2017 (including 3 newbies in the draft)
18 - 3
19 - 4
20 - 2
21 - 3
22 - 10
23 - 3
24 - 9
25 - 6
26 - 3
27 - 1
28 - 1

Breaking it down into age groups (assuming Sparrows take 5 x 18 year-old newbies)

18-20 - Warriors 9 vs Sparrows 21
21-23 - Warriors 16 vs Sparrows 15
24-26 - Warriors 18 vs Sparrows 8
27+ - Warriors 2 vs Sparrows 1

It looks like I am 4 years development in front of Sparrows from an age profile, but he will leap-frog me next year if I don't start drafting/trading better!

Interesting you've compared ages. I hadn't actually ever done that until now:

18-20 - Lightning 6
21-23 - Lightning 12
24-26 - Lightning 11
27+ - Lightning 12

18 - 0
19 - 2
20 - 4
21 - 3
22 - 4
23 - 5
24 - 3
25 - 6
26 - 2
27 - 1
28 - 6
29 - 4
30 - 1

From memory everyone did an age profile in our second season just for the fun of it. That'd be the last time I looked at it. Ages as of right now, not going to work it out as of the start of the year :)

For the Raiders we're looking at:

18-20 - Raiders 8
21-23 - Raiders 17
24-26 - Raiders 13
27+ - Raiders 6

18-0 at least until the draft anyway ;)
19-2
20-6
21-3
22-6
23-8
24-7
25-1
26-5
27-2
28-Hanley
30-Picken
31-Shaw
33-Kelly

Breust is also now on the trade table if anyone is interested.
