Trade Alert

LWP receives:
Callum Sinclair, Adam Oxley

Raiders receives:
Tom Campbell

L_W_P to confirm.

Yep all good.

I need ruckmen and I think Sinc has better security despite getting worse numbers. He was in the Swans best 22 until he got hurt and should get hit spot back.

Campbell will get his chance with Roughead down but he doesnt appear to be in the Dogs long term plans with Boyd making that move.

Oxlry a little bonus given Campbells stat record. If he pushes into that side again he has shown he can rack em up. I think he is a better prospect than anything I would get at my last pick.

I think Rockford wants to try and get some wins in the early part of the year with Campbell playing before Lycett and Nic Nat return ;)

Mainly using Campbell as cover for Lycett. Don't actually think Naitanui gets back this season unfortunately. If Roughead ends up missing more than the first 8 rounds (high hamstring on a tall player like Roughead could take a lot longer, and if Campbell and Boyd are doing the job then I don't think they'll rush him back) then potentially Campbell and Lycett solve my ruck dramas for 2017.

Another good interesting trade lads well done.

Tender going for it.
Yeah, just sticking to a strategy of trading out early picks for established (or semi established) talent. I may as well continue with it, it seems to be working okay!

As another coach pointed out to me, I am good at trading in players, but am not so good with nailing early draft picks - and my track record is not good :p.

Last time I used my early picks was after the 2012? draft where I had 6 picks in the top 28 and selected Jono O'Rourke, Lachie Plowman, Kristen Jaksch, Nathan Hrovat, Taylor Garner and Josh Simpson :eek:o_O:oops:

Since then I have not had a pick within the top 30, so having Pick 27 this year is a bit scary :p

That draft from 12 gives me nightmares!

Was a generally Crap draft though imo.

As far as I know he hasn't delisted anyone. I'll assume he wants to use pick 8 and 22 and delist the two guys that aren't on an AFL list if he hasn't posted otherwise within the next hour. Beyond that I'm not going to make any assumptions.
I guess at the very least richcogs is aware of the deadline, as he liked the post I tagged him in yesterday afternoon to advise the 3pm deadline. Saying that, just over a days notice really isn't a long period of time when one is busy with other things, so I don't know if the 3pm deadline today is fair to all.. I understand that there are arguments to say it is fair (it has been 3 months since the AFL drafts etc), but that is just my opinion.

I guess we wait and see what happens, hopefully it is a moot point :)

Hopefully. It has been 3 months. I don't doubt he's been online and is capable of posting who he wants delisted. Unknown Caller can extend the deadline if he likes but then we won't be ready for this weekend. And how long should we wait really when we've all had months to get this done. Even Danny got online and got his delistings in ;)

Think this should be a given (delisting unlisted players). Maybe delist Max Gawn for him too, that guy can't play

So that's the deadline. I'll make the final delistings and list changes on the front page and will be logging into UF shortly to begin transitioning it all so we can draft Saturday morning :)
