There’s a lot more than two SV!
At least they can talk to their many selves.
Weird if they start arguing with their selves - and lose!

Well, that was my first experience of Mr Coventry, (that I'm aware of).
Needless to say he's living up to the nickname of one of his ancestors.
To be fair in his very early days of posting circa 2001 he was in most cases reasonable and discussed things rationally.
It all seemed to go off the rails for him around 2002/3 when he went out of his way to become the flog he is today

Oh Saintly. How disappointing. That's the sort of obvious comments one would expect from the likes of JMac and others but not your good self. Never mind.
Just a whimsical thought.

You’ll get over it.

I thought it was set in stone that he was going to GWS.... then didn’t.

That was just misreported.

Buddy was always going to Sydney from a long way out - they just kept it under the radar beautifully.

Hasn’t done them much good though

Disagree. Like Dangerfield, Buddy drags Sydney over the line frequently. You only have to see how they drop off when he doesn't play. I don't like the guy but you can't say that he wasn't a great pick up by them.

But but...I had a nice plaque ready for him and everything...

Actually the Marriages were first & separate...the mateship then followed (only met through the marriages).
20 years on...both divorced...but the mateship continues...
Such is life.
its good the mate ship of the sisters continues :p

A few other observations:For me, perhaps the most interesting thing about the night was the opportunity to ask questions to all of the speakers over a drink. I asked David Emerson a question I have asked before at these meetings and he was very honest and forthcoming.
Me: When are we going to fix the dreadful empty seat problem?
DE: What do you mean exactly?
Me: Behind the goals at the cheer-squad end. There are so many empty seats and its a shocking look on TV
DE: We are doing something about that. It's not an easy one. We are almost sold out in that area already this year. The seats are sold to members, but they don't turn up. So what we are planning in 2019 is to have this area designated membership on a first come first served basis, similar to what happens in the MCC. You buy an area membership seat and are entitled to sit there but you are not allotted a seat."
Me: I hadn't thought of that solution but it's a very good one. Well done."

If I think of anything else from last night I'll post it as soon as Ive had my morning coffee; bit of a sore head this morning!
I worry that this idea of a first in, first served basis will upset a lot of reserved seat members who sit in level 1 of the Ponny every week and will be unfairly punished because other reserved seat holders in the area don't choose to attend the matches for whatever reason.

I agree that that the emptiness of the area isn't a good look on TV, but if we start winning games and being a strong side again the crowds will return. Just check out the area during the years between 2009 to 2013. It's only started dropping off from about 2014 when performances have declined.

There are several ways that the area could be filled up without necessarily relinquishing the reserved seating of loyal members, especially with many of those spending money on high-end memberships.

I'm not sure if the club has the technology, but I would like to think that they track the attendance rates of individual members, based on how often they scan their ticket and that some sort of compromise can be reached.

You might need to check your emails again or there might be a problem with the receiving end or the sending end.

I got mine & and at least 4 members I know got their email's from the club. No one is hiding anything. As someone has said earlier, this has been going on for a few years now. Your premise that the club is hiding the forum away is simply wrong. The media were there. If your premise is incorrect then so too will be your conclusion.

Eddie is a master manipulator of the media that is my conclusion

Saying that Buddy wasn’t a good pick up for Sydney is akin to saying Buckley wasn’t a good pick up for Collingwood.
