My bridge is finally built jackcass now that Pert is gone.

Predictions and pipedreams are two very different things.

By the way I only answered Carinbush's post to me.......plenty of people giving opinions as facts on here at the moment.

Let the healing commence.

First post, an interested reader.

I have noticed your posts on Pert and Eddie. You believe Pert operated on an isolated island by himself. That is incorrect and his culture change was directed by Eddie after he observed the Australian Swimming team in the 2012 Olympics. Read up on his quotes about this team and the culture of that generation. Pert took directions on changing the culture from above.

You give Eddie too much grace. He is the man responsible for the cluster naughty word that the club has been in for the last 6 years. No corporate governance, no due process and a horrible decision to invest in the Glasshouse, which is a bigger financial white elephant than the Hotel in South Melbourne. His mates from Toorak who operate the venue see all the profits of the venue at the expense of the club members.

He is also responsible for the Gubby mess. Gubby is a dodgy operator, I know more detail at how he finished up at Collingwood in the first stint, very much damaged goods. Your mate Eddie had promised him a job this year despite ruining our salary cap and it had to take Peter Murphy and Holgate, who both are massive on corporate governance to stop Eddie appointing him again.

The man most responsible for the current mess is your mate Eddie. Last year when Murphy was forming numbers to run for the President, Eddie killed off the democratic process and undermined his tilt. He gave him an assurance of a Clayton's Review to observe if he didn't put in his hat in the ring by Eddie.

And let's not forget my mate from Xavier in Lethers. Eddie had promised him the job but again was overruled by Holgate and Murphy.

Thanks for that Gary. ;)

Sorry but I will let others take your version as gospel...............that's what bigfooty is all about.

By the way I have also blamed Eddie in the past.......the cluster **** you describe is on our Club as a whole.

Welcome to bigfooty by the way.

So now you've run out of actual "facts" and just opting for the long winded whimsical rant with more tangents than a mathematics convention. Nice change of tack.

How about you tell me why it can work rather than constantly deflecting from the evidence that already suggests it won't work and doesn't work league wide.

How is this a good idea? I can't be the only pies fan concerned by the mix we are consdiering when it has been painfully obvious we struggle to score goals?
And no other team in the league plays two genuine rucks in the same side- especially two that aren't great when the ball hits the deck and aren't strong or proven aerial performers like a Travis Cloke.

Blinkers are firmly on at this club.

Eddie needs the Presidency to remain relevant and he needs it more than we need him. A lot of people at the club have stayed past their expiry date based on this review. It better ****ing deliver in 2018.

Where have I ever said it will work? All I've ever said is that there is enough evidence to suggest it might and insufficient to categorically claim it won't. You're dealing in certainties that simply don't exist. Much of the "fact" you've offered as evidence was in fact wrong. I'm happy for you to have any opinion and agree to disagree, but you start to look a little silly when everything you offer in support of that opinion is actually wrong.

Also happy for you to point me to the team in the league whose ruckman plays 100% game time. Goldstein at his best is as close as I've ever seen in the modern game but even he never played 100% regularly and looked a mere shadow of his former self in 2017 and appeared headed for retirement at 29. It takes a toll. Every team in the league play someone who can play as a 2nd ruck. Some through a lack of alternative use smaller mobile types (Melbourne - Peterson and Watts), others use players more predisposed to ruckwork (GWS - Lobb, Sydney - Sinclair and Naismith) and the continuum between. There are no hard and fast rules and you work with what you have available rather than just discounting options on little or no actual evidence.

His radio show is failing (Molloy left the sinking ship) with poor ratings and reduced sponsorship and his television show is trending the same way. His only relevancey these days is as the President and as the years go by, the likes of Richmond and Essendon have a stronger brand and financials. The Collingwood brand, just like Eddie, is a fading star.

Failing you say?

Correct.

Peter Murphy is known around town for being a toe cutter. As I said before, he wanted to run last year but he was tapped on the shoulder by McGuire not to run. Eddie gave him an honorary board position whilst he conducted a review as a result. People will never see the review (there is an old saying in politics that you never conduct a review without knowing the answer) but it didn't bode well for Eddie's lack of corporate governance and due process when appointing staff.

Membership revenue is significantly down (membership figures are open to fudging, not revenue though) and they sacked the membership manager as a result. The club is trying to paint a Forever slogan as the review has identified a serious lack of connection and engagement between members and the club.

I can't remember a time when the supporter base was this fragmented and at war with each other.

You have made some interesting posts.

I’m not about to challenge you. We have a few posters who claim, or at least appear to have, insider knowledge about the club. And as is often the case, there is probably some truth in what you say, and maybe your own ‘interpretation’ of other facts.

But I don’t think you’ve expressed a view on Bucks. What are your thoughts on his reappointment, and him having some success in 2018/19?

No its not its the latest....but you knew that

How do you think adding the very talented Will Anderson to the Hot Breakfast team will affect ratings next year?
Badly. Will Anderson is an unfunny twit who thinks that simply yelling stuff is the cornerstone of good comedy.

Molloy is a big loss.

With all due respect Perty was a major problem in our Clubs progression
Agreed but he had a right about the optimism around our young group in 2013-14. Sure he was a major **** up but was not the only problem we had something to be bullish about the future at that time after 2012 but we royally f***** it. And yeah I agree with the rest of your post

I grew up with Gubby's son Marcus at Xavier. Have known of the old man since the 90's, also work with a son of a very senior assistant (who once coached an AFL club) at GWS. Gubby is a shifty operator and he was let go at Collingwood during the first stint for a very unhanded act. How he was allowed back at the club when he had such a major transgression pending highlights how poor the governance at the club was and still is

Alan McConnell? He seems to be the only current member of their coaching panel that fits your description.

So all of this information you have posted and all these claims, is this your opinion? It seems you have inside knowledge of some sort, care to elaborate?

And is there anything positive you can say for the upcoming season? Would be a good change in tune in general.

Only if you find BS interesting

Don't you remember Reid's goalkicking yips when he first started? That was why he went back.
Yeah but I doubt a new kid who had been a CHF having goal kicking yips in the early days was the reason they moved him to CHB.

The point is that it isn’t unheard of moving a kid who played junior footy on the forward line to the backline as some are suggesting

I don't think a lot will change in season 2018. The review was a Clayton's Review. In politics you never conduct a review unless you know the final answer before you conduct the review.

The biggest hinderance with the review is they identified a list manager needed to be appointed. Blind freedy could have told you that Hine was not qualified for that job years ago. He is a push over whenever there is discussions to be held with another club. What type of review appoints a new list manager mid way through a trade period? I'm happy Ned Guy got the gig but he can't do any work for quite a time.

Lockyer, Rocca & Harvey all should no longer be at the club. The club and board did look at replacing Buckley and they even contacted potential coaches. The main reason he stayed is there weren't any suitable candidates in their eyes and the guy Eddie was pining over didn't want a bar of him. Things won't change until there is an entire cultural change with governance and due diligence. As long as Eddie is there, that will always be an issue
You are wrong.

Maybe. But I am better dialled into what is occurring at the club than anyone here.

I have known Peter Murphy through the VAFA for years (he's involved with Old Carey) and holiday near him in Portsea. He told Eddie some home truths, which won't see the light of day. What I do know, is he did such a good job as an interim CEO trying to change the organisational culture that he significant gravitas with the board now. Christine Holgate in particular who is obsessed by due diligence and governance.

The next mistake Eddie makes, he will be waiting in the wings to send him off. He got the board to rally against him when he wanted to appoint my mate from Xavs in Jars. The tide is turning
I’m always wary of people who claim to be “dialled in.” I think you are making shit up to get a reaction. Time will tell if you are genuine, although I suspect you will be long gone by then.

Send me a DM and I will show you how dialled I am.
I’ll pass on your offer thanks. Your agenda is pretty obvious and it’s not one I wish to engage in further.

You will get plenty of other people interested, so have fun.

We had the super full moon (appearing brightest largest for the year) about 4 days ago.

It's affect.....
