I guess the logic is that if you're enough of a sucker to come watch us play then it shouldn't be hard to squeeze some money out of you.

Latest tally is 20513 that I have logged as at 3 April. This in rough figures is 2000 less at that date than for both 2014 and 2016.

This is undeniably disappointing but with the team playing better, more determined and entertaining football maybe this gap will disappear before final figures for the year are posted.

My son plays in the under 10 brissie competition and he just got sent a 3 game membership and so did my wife. These have been given to every kid playing in the 9s and 10s in Brisbane Do these memberships count in the final figure?

I would hope not as it would make these figures even more depressing

I would hope all club's three game memberships aren't included, however I suspect they are (and pet memberships) given some of the totals of most Melbourne clubs.

All well and good these inflated totals, I just wish all clubs real full season totals would be released. Only problem is that the AFL would never do it given how much they live to pump their own tyres and use these statistics to skew whatever agenda suits.

AFAIK everything counts these days, even supporter memberships that don't include admission rights. The AFL standardised it because some clubs were rorting the membership numbers to seem bigger by signing people up to one game memberships.

Yep. But it isnt every kid getting one. We got them for a couple of years but we always reregistered early. Others in the same team didn't get them. So maybe it is capped.

The kid next door got a Daniel Rich footy card in the last pack he bought from the milkbar, we should count him as a member too

I wasn't sure where to post this, so if needed mods move this to a thread more suited. This is my second year as a Vic member & my girlfriend & I are finally making the trip up to see our first game at the Gabba. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend accommodation in the CBD that's close to restaurants, shopping centres & the Gabba etc? Any help will do, much appreciated guys :thumbsu:

Does it have to be IN the CBD? Southbank might tick more boxes.

Agreed, go for somewhere at Southbank like Mantra or Rydges. You're on the right side of the river to walk up to the Gabba, there's plenty of restaurants and cafes along Southbank itself, and if you go down to the river side of Southbank to Jetty 3 you can get a free red CityHopper ferry across to North Quay and be on the edge of Queen Street Mall - they come every 30 minutes nearly all day.

There is a school in Werribee that receives a North Melbourne family membership for every student.

Any place to buy the member cap and/or polo online? or only at the Lions shop in person?
I traded my 15% off card for the cap at the merch stand outside Gate 9.

Looks Ok. That Camperdown Dairy logo is a turnoff generally though.
Ahh the green cow is growing on me. They give the Club money in exchange for exposure. Good on 'em and welcome I say.
