Well it wasn't pretty that's for sure. Ugle was unsighted all game. It took Taberner until the last quarter to get involved. Thank god for Rory O'Brien, or else Peel were gone. Stranadica, Hughes, Collins and Nyhuis were our better players.
Will be a serious drafting coup right where we need one if Strnadica comes off.

Wasn't there today, flu got the better of me but Humble by the radio commentary seemed to play a nice game.
It looks like Stranadica is the good news story (along with Hughes) for Freo.
I had thought that Stranadica was a forward who could relieve in the ruck a bit. But if he can become a genuine ruck and go forward occasionally he will be retained by the club for sure and developed.
Next decade of ruck/forward solved today!!
That's the structural work finished.

Nyhuis bog today. Very strong and can't be far away from back pocket for freo. Strnadica was handy in ruck. Tabs didn't care. Ibbo was composed and dominated in patches. Loved the endeavour of Tassone.
Great to see Ryan Crowley get 22 touches and kick a goal in Swan's demolition of the Reagles.

Good to hear Nyhuis kept up his consistency. Always seems to play well.
For those that have seen him enough. Strnadica - can you compare him to a current player for me. His speed, agility, etc.

At least Peel won. Most of the Freo contingent were pretty poor apart from Strandica aside. Tabs at least got 8 marks and 17 disposals. Just play him in AFL, better target then Kersten

Wow. I was thinking he was more Hannath/Griff levels. That's very good.
Really? Maybe I'm under rating Clarkes agility? But Strnadica is way more agile and mobile than Hannath and Griff and every bit as good as Clarke was at the same age below the knees, which was never a strength of either Griff or Hannath.
All the talent and natural ability is there with Strnadica. Just remains to be seen whether he buys in to the AFL regime. But so far so good.

Missing at least 2, possibly up to 4 of the best Peel players on the ground. Ibbotson? wtf? Thought a few of the Peel boys (eg Humble, Bray) plus Strnadica deserved to be in that list. Thought Hughes was better than Collins and certainly better than Ibbotson. Nyhuis was ok but thought most of the Freo-listed players had shocking disposal at times.

I disagree. Hughes great early but was ordinary in last qtr and a half. Stood off his man too often. Tassone was awesome.
I think you misunderstand. I thought all our Freo-listed defenders were more ordinary and more inconsistent than they normally are. Thought they were ok defensively (hence only 3 goals against including none in the last quarter and a half
) but none of them deserved to be in the bests because they were all poor with their disposal imo. Hughes and Duman were good for about a quarter each - but overall all the Freo players were meh except big Luke. Yeah Tassone should have been in the bests also.

Not sure how you know that, but for something who didn't care, 17 disposals, 8 marks, 2 goals and 15 hitouts is a pretty handy return.
Does anyone know how Morabito and C. Pearce have been going in the WAFL lately?
