I remember yarran debuting after a 6 disposal 2 goal display in similar conditions last year.

Depending on how our fwd line functions tomorrow..he could get a game next week.

He's got another 2 years on the list so strap yourself in. Let's not treat him how we treated Jack anthony with the Bronx cheers. We're not feral.
Didn't say I was gonna start abusing him mate. Didn't join here to blow smoke up ppls asses, didn't do shit at Geelong and he sure ain't doin shit at ffc.

Ain't doing shit? He's been poor lately, but as for his season he's had some good ones..winner Against North, 17 Disposals 11 marks and 2 goals against richmond. I swear people have short memories here.

Nothing to do with memory. Everything to do with having NFI.

Haters are gunna hate.

Kersten is an ok player , consider freo get him at pick 64. Normally at this pick he will be spending more time with peel . He is lucky to survive so many round in AfL before been dropped to peel . Goal wise he beat Tab yesterday, but if a player don't bring effort he is a liability to any team.

If Sean Darcy and Cox play well Vs st kilda. Both can spend the rest of the season for peel as freo is the priority.

Cam Sutcliffe won the game for Peel. He took the kick- in after Claremont kicked a behind and not only hit his target, but he kept running all the way down to the goal square and kicked an amazing snap on goal to win the game for Peel.
Thats how he used to play for Freo when he was young and fearless. Provided so much drive until he went into his shell. Still think he has something to offer if he can get back to that kind of play at the top level.

Woah... Nyhuis must have played a blinder

Some on here only want to look at the negatives when it comes to our recruiting but lately even our rookie selections have been good. Very happy when Nyhuis, Duman and Strada and can see all of them getting an opportunity.

Now where is that Ross character, I need to bend his ear about some talent we have at Peel that need a game.

Kersten needs a few games at Peel to find form and confidence. He needs to hunt more of the ball than he did but the quarters he was quiet the ball barely went inside 50. I listened to the whole second half and in the 3rd quarter alone Peel didn't score and I remember about 1 or at most 2 inside 50s for the quarter; a quarter which Kersten not surprisingly didn't touch the pill. He did have 4 tackles for the game. Wasn't the best day for the fwd's either.

Also I can't understand people giving Tabs a hard time for dropping a few marks in that weather we had yesterday.

He need to put up his hand and mark a few to show that he is capable of playing in whatever weather. The selection committee will not consider him for freo best 22 if after 5 years he show no improvement . In 3 quarter I only hear m.andrew ( claremont Ruckmen) always get the ball and attack and tab lost most of his battle with him .

Couldn't agree more. Sutty has been played out of position for so long (through necessity) that a lot of the attacking instincts he had when drafted have been neglected. IIRC the selection panel were overjoyed when he was available when we drafted him, as he represented an absolute bargain at that pic. He had silky skills and a very accurate kick over distance when we pucked him up. Playing in defense and being accountable for a forward however hadn't allowed him to further develop those skills.

Been saying this ad nauseum since about 2013 so i'm glad to see there are some who don't have goldfish memories. He's an outside mid who's been forced to play out of position for the majority of his career, play him forward of centre for a few weeks and you'll start to see his value as a player re-emerge. Not saying he's best 22, he aint, but he can be a useful depth player if we use him properly.

The same could easily be said for Sheridan. The problem is we play a contested style of footy and only a few players in the 22 can play that role.

Luckily neither Kersten nor Tabs featured in the bests from the WAFL site so no long "conversations" required.

Bests: R.Nyhuis, M.Tassone, S.Collins, Z.Dawson, T.Duman

Have to say I'm pretty much in agreement this week. Thought a lot of the Peel boys struggled far more than they have in previous weeks.

Spurr wouldn't want a poor showing today with Nyhuis on the verge of knocking the door completely off its hinges.

Yep, it probably applies even moreso to Sherro.

Looks like the obvious replacement to Sheridan now either through injury or form. Ross was very critical of the errors in the d50 ( weren't we all!!!) and will look to make a change. Think it will be a no brainer for Nyhuis to get a game next week.

Now than freo is out of final , I prefer not to rush nyhuis .langdon or somebody else will be better benefit from it. .

Notwithstanding the poor game on the weekend - which could just as easily be put down to conditions - has Strnadica looked like something approaching AFL ready so far? Would he be any worse in a fwd/ruck role than what we've seen in the seniors so far this year?
