Any effort made to avoid having to deal with Ticketdisaster is well worth it. They're about as useless as Centrelink.
Of course the AFL suggest the option to make money. I can't imagine it getting to full? I've not been to a pre-season game before but yeah I'll just be turning up with my lanyard and hoping for the best.
I'm not paying $20 for a bloody pre-season game haha.

If you are heading to Broadbeach for the game tomorrow, give yourself plenty of time to get a park, walk to the gate, get through security, and get a decent spot on the hill.
I reckon if you get there by 2:30 you will be fine, any time after 3 and you could get caught in a crowd. Gates and the bar and TAB are open from 1:30pm.

A 2008 article by Kelly et al. published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine followed hip injuries in NFL players from 1997-2006. In that time period, nine players reported hip dislocations or subluxations, with an average of 126 days (just over 4 months) before return to play. The range for the category was from 16 days to 283 days, and I am certain the player who missed 16 days had a case of subluxation, which is a much milder injury than dislocation.
