Resulted in a score not necessarily a goal. We still need to work on conversion and getting chances closer to goal/ better position .

But with the age of our keys that is still a positive stat.

Well a lot easier to maintain a good record with a smaller number of entries. No doubt as we start to have more inside 50s our Conversion percentage will drop. I'm one who still thinks our forward set up needs some work especially in ability to keep the ball locked in our forward half for long periods of time. We have got to be one of the worst teams in the comp for opposition rebounds from their d50 that result in a score...

But at least we are doing something right and hopefully we can add a few more strings to our bow in the coming years. No doubt Fagan wouldn't want to tinker too much with what's working considering he has said himself that he will build on what works and try to remedy on what doesn't.
Definately need to work on locking it in there, as stated by Fagan very early on.
With a young forward line, it is very positive news and i especially like the stat when we win a centre clearance and transition to score: no:1 in Afl.
The problem is the other 50% of the time it bounces out far to easily and probably ends up in a score the other way.

Training Report Monday 9th January 2017

Went along this morning hoping to see the new recruits. Bit disappointed. They are apparently all down in Melbourne on an (AFL?) camp.
8 in the rehab group: Bell, NRobbo, Archie, Can, Reuben, McStay, Hipwood and Skinner. Not sure what the go with Hippy is. Just running (hard) laps around the oval. Gee he looks taller every week.
Skills and a bit of match practice etc.

Yep, the AFL runs an induction day for all new draftees.

Some might just have niggles but, just the same, the rehab group is probably bigger than we would like at this stage. Hopefully it reduces over the next few weeks. Would be a nice change to enter the season with something resembling a full list (apart from Skinner).
