If that is an issue I would wait for the 2017 fixture release before making your mind up.
Nah, not even a consideration, this isn't a retail value for money transaction for me, never has been. I understand that it is and has to be for others..

I was going to do a cost comparison with my gws membership, but the only options I've seen are GA, there doesn't appear to be reserved seating options?
I am drinking, this may cloud comprehension..

It's very very difficult putting together a membership package that is tailored towards interstate members as usually in those games we are the away side. Usually the only venues that we can strike away deals with is Etihad & the MCG. I know the club knows that interstate members get the short end of the stick so they've tried to make it more worthwhile this year but yeah I definitely agree it's still an issue. Do you or anyone here know of any clubs that do some good interstate memberships?
If I may, what I would love is simply this:

Digital membership, and a ticket with the cheersquad each time the Saints play in my home state (ie, against Port and Crows). The Club gets those cheersquad tickets, then sell them to me for a fortune - well, put them in a package with the digital membership.

I dont agree with this at all. The club really has made no effort. For example when the games are here in perth the western saints put on a function. To go you have to pay for a ticket, i forget the exact cost but its between $15-25 from memory. Its in the bar at the old subi club rooms joined to the ground. With the ticket you get some bar food like a pie and chips or a burger and chips.

The western saints do a great job of organising it and making fans feel welcome. In the past theyve even organised sponsors to help fund the event.

Now for interstate members i was told a similar function is put on (i think after the game rather than pre game) but its free for members. I think even drinks were put on.

Even after buying the premium interstate package you still have to fork out the ticket to the pre game function here in WA.

Other thing that bugs me is the same cost for a junior in WA compared to one in Victoria even though your kid probably wont go to the kids clinic. Also theres no grand final allocation for interstate juniors without buying the same product someone in vic will buy. Just without using all of the entitlements.

Its a rort. The club knows it and they dont want to do anything about it.
It kinda is a rort, I'm in Perth and haven't been to Victoria in about 7 years. I won't entertain the thought of an interstate membership not just because I'm paying for "5" games but also because my partner would also want to go also. so 2 memberships for a total of 10 tickets and use only 2. Or $250 for us to attend 1 game together. We haven't had 2 WA games in a long time.

I'll stick with digital membership until it's sorted, atleast I'll get to see every game from WA without paying through the nose for foxtel.

Yeah, I'm in Tassie so just go for a family 3 gamer and hope for the best for the Tassie game if there is one.

It's worked out ok the last few years.

The membership ad is really exciting, atleast they got that one right.

Looks like they're still going with 'how I want to be'
Its good apart from the last scene with the awful jumper and slogan

The slogan is all kinds of bad

Added our previous member tally for this time last year to the first post along with the membership video if you haven't seen it yet.

Which one guarantees granny tickets?
Hey mate,

The following guarantee grand final tickets if St.Kilda is a participating team;
Ultimate Interstate General Admission
Premium General Admission Home
Premium General Admission Home & Away

You can find reserved seating allocations and pricing here - http://saintsmembership.com.au/seating-map

Cover the cost of the function with the membership. That probably would be the easiest solution

Then have a band for interstate juniors piced accordingly
I'll take note of that mate, thanks for the feedback. Believe me when I say the club knows they need to improve interstate member options.

Perse terrific idea mate - I will send it through for you. I know that the interstate membership entitles you to one reserved seat for a game in your state - so if we're playing the Crows or Power you'd get one of those games with your membership.

That's probably your best bet mate, that or the Supporter membership for $60. Personally I'd go digital and then buy your ticket if we play in WA in 2017. The AFL fixture release will answer a lot of people's concerns I'd imagine.

Hey mate, Tassie members should be pretty happy with the clubs direction moving forward. After playing Hawthorn there this year and knowing we have a large Tassie supporter base the club is looking at playing both North Melbourne & Hawthorn down there in 2017. If that gets the tick of approval your membership would be real value for money.

Hi guys,

So this year is the first year I'm buying membership (old enough to earn decent money and whatnot).

If any of you want to do the "Sign the Saint" thing , I'd be willing to refer you (not sure how it works) :D

Fairly confident I can make my girlfriend sign up this year as well.

Thanks guys!
Hey mate, awesome news!

I can explain that for you. It's only valid if you sign up someone who wasn't previously a member in 2016. So if you signed up your girlfriend and she wasn't a member this year, then that counts. You either just have to let her know to quote your membership ID when she signs up, or you need to let the customer service rep know if you sign her up yourself. If you click on the hyperlink in the original post it'll redirect you to the page that has all the info about it - the more you sign up the better the prizes get too.

Yep, but as many have said, many of us interstate members can't make it to the 5 games at Etihad that our memberships entitle us to, along with the ticket to an away game in our state (and frankly, I think it sucks that there's only ONE of those games made available - it should be any games in the state). A far more useful way to do interstate membership is to tie it in with the digital membership. I propose that there be TWO types of interstate membership:
  1. Interstate Membership (Games): The standard 5 games at Etihad, plus tickets to Saints games in your state.
  2. Interstate Membership (Digital): No games at Etihad, digital access to the AFL app, plus tickets to Saints games in your state.

By way of comparison, here are some of our previous ads from the last five or so years:

(This remains a personal fave... the sand, all that, plus Eric Bana doing the voiceover)

(This one gets me a little teary...)

Has anyone else noticed the lack of the ISC logo in all of the guernsey photos in the new membership section? New manufacturer on the cards potentially.
