I'm predicting a drop off in form for the hawks due to erratic coaching

Neurological problems

Syphilis can cause many problems with the brain, its covering or the spinal cord. These issues include:

  • Headache.
  • Stroke.
  • Meningitis, a disease that inflames the protective layers of tissue around the brain and spinal cord.
  • Confusion, personality changes or trouble focusing.
  • Symptoms that mimic dementia, such as loss of memory, judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Not being able to move certain body parts, called paralysis.
  • Trouble getting or keeping an erection, called erectile dysfunction.
  • Bladder problems.
Give 'em the clap they deserve.

Couldn't find a thread for Eamon Armstrong, but an article from his local county paper on him (doesn't appear to be paywalled);

Seems like a level headed guy, with a realisation of what lies ahead, but I get the impression of a fairly determined person as well who is not going to be overwhelmed by the move.
Thanks for sharing, a good read. And surprisingly for our recruiters … another good runner 😂

Similar to the quality of young men entering the draft you have to admire the maturity of these kids. He is breaking the recent trend where the Irish recruits such as Liam O'Connell and Oisin Mullen are a few years older in their 20s but this guy will be 18 leaving family and travelling half way round the world. Best of luck to him

Handy VFL player possibly…good luck to him but doubt he’ll debut unless Marshall’s unavailable!
Well he's probably just realised a childhood dream of getting onto an AFL list, so let's not knock each-other over in the rush to piss on his parade, yeah? ;)

What's the main knock on him?
I’ve watched him at training & seen some vision…in my opinion he’s not mobile enough, lacks athleticism & at only 198cm won’t have the reach to go with the bigger ruckmen…he’s strongly built but that’s it!
He’ll be like Cambell, mostly either play for Sandy or be an emergency

Though at least with him being a full time player now at a professional level with better fitness advice and facilities, as well as him having more time, his running ability should improve over time.

Plus we as a club have a huge emphasis on improving running ability.

I am not saying it will become amazing, but it would be surprising he did not get better.

If he was perfect, he would not be available as a SSP. Nor would be be content to join us as a back up ruck which is why we would add him to our list if we do.

As a ruck though he is just entering his likely best years.

Is he an improvement on Punter?

Well the obvious has occurred the HS is running the Saints have signed Harry Boyd as an SSP. For me that is mitigated with the knowledge that we grabbed the best young ruckman (Dodson) in this years draft. When we started looking at Boyd I was concerned we would select him and over look others and not address our future rucking needs. As it has turned out we now have the best of both, a ready made hole filler and a kid who Dave Misson has said is a lot more advanced than we might think.

So yes my intitial reaction to Boyd was a bit 'chicken little', but I wanted the club to top up with as much young talent from this draft as possible and the club have over acheived in that regard. The adding of Boyd should put a rocket up Max Heath, as its time he took a big step or get pushed aside.
