Sorry to intrude .
Seen a few people state that they prefer the Ponsford end and wish to swap into it . Is there any particular reason why it’s better?
?Comfort ?More shade/not staring into the sun ? Better views ?Other reasons
I’m in the Olympic Stand anyway rather than the Ponsford , but curious .
Thanks

That’s the Collingwood end mate. Our cheer squad sit down there and majority of pies supporters generally

Congrats mate where did you find that!?
I put a wanted post on Gumtree (I'm in Canberra). A guy called me up last night and offered it to me for face value ($150). I was local and a Pies man. His brother in law had got them two seats in the Ponsford, he was flying down to Melbourne today. People with excess tickets selling at face value are legends. Very grateful

Staring into the sun is also an issue...…..I don't think it will be a factor on Saturday for you.

Thanks for letting me know . Explains why pretty much everyone I’ve seen wishing to switch into it is a Pie fan

Haha , that might be the only positive about the forecast rain* (when I said I was in the Olympic Stand - I should’ve said that I’m below it. But too close to the front to be undercover )
Thanks for the info . Funnily enough I was in the sun on a very warm day for our Saturday afternoon prelim haha. Based on the forecast , I’m more likely to need a poncho .....

Sorry I also have a couple more stadium related questions:
-What does -2 mean eg a friend is sitting in SQ36-2 . Figured out that S just means section ie it’s somewhere in Q36 presumably , but not sure what the last bit means. Is it a subsection ?
-If you had a choice between sitting at the front of level 4 but near the centre square , or at ground level near the 50m arc , which would you prefer ?

Sweet thanks. Did a bit of reading around. Looks like I might need to get there early for a good spot in the standing area. I'm 197cm so not too worried.

M12 is definitely stepped. Pretty sure so is m10. You will be able to view the whole ground from any step ( but it's a bit of a letterbox view, you don't see the grandstands on the opposite side for example). If you want to get front row and lean against the fencing I would get there super early and tie a jumper or something to the fencing to indicate your space. Then you can always move away and come back in intervals. I'd be much happier standing in M10 than sitting at the back of level 4. You did well mate.

If your friend is on his/her own I assume it is seat number 2 (the row would be a letter)

I would go front of level 4 personally.

Can any help me with some general information about the Collingwood live sight. What is the vision like, is it good to watch from the Olympic Park Oval site? Any info would be great . 7 and 11 year old as well. Cheers

Get there early soak up the atmosphere...…..meet the people around you so you all save each others spot when you need to go for a pit stop.

Congrats by the way.

I concur. Front of level 4 on wing is a great position, and superior to being within the 50m zone at either end, imo. But others prefer to be closer to the field, no matter the perspective. Each to their own. Most are just happy to be going and don't care about position. Many supporters of the winning team will likely head down to the bottom level at the conclusion of the match to be closer to the players and lap of honour.

Thanks for your reply
They are sitting solo but it’s SQ36-2/Y/*insert seat number*
Edit also sorry replying from my phone and don’t know how to unbold it

The 2 means that you're in the second half of the bay.
