I'm going Fritsch, Giles-Langdon and Ryan ATM.

I will go this combo too although thinking of going a non playing west coast rookie forward for captain loophole instead of Ryan.

Will have Cameron at R3 so can't use him for loophole.

What are people's thoughts on Josh Dunkley?

A 114 and a 73 is awesome from a top priced rookie. Whilst his 2017 was a tad disappointing averaging 60, he still managed 4 scores above 60.

What's his break even? Job security?

just asking for a friend :D:D:D

In our best 22. Had a great first year but suffered from injuries last year. Lots of potential... should rise in cash has the ability to tackle and score goals. Awarkedly priced IMO.

I’ve contemplated Crozier but he’s an even more awkward price at 341. Loved his role for us and looks clean . Can see maybe rising to around 80-85 average

No Rayner or Forgaty? they seem solid
Fogarty goes straight out for Tex when he's fit, so unless there's an injury to another tall in the first few weeks, he won't be playing. $150k too high for me

Rayner looks good, but Brayshaw looks better for me.

Brayshaw does look better.
But when you compare Rayner to the forward rooky options......
I have to lol a bit when I see teams with bell coz there is just no rookies worth taking.
Ryan Giles Langdon etc.
Surely the number 1 draft pick will get games.
His js has to be better IMO.
Scored 70 odd in jlt 2. 10 tackles.

Rayner as a fwd mate, would b stupid getting as a mid.

Rayner easily best rookie there/job security etc

Yeh Forgarty might not have good JS, but he did impress enough to put his hand up for early games maybe. Plus DPP is nice.

Sooooo undecided who to run at f1-3

Currently have heeney and billings but hardly inspired by heeney's JLT form. Billings a lock. It's a lottery after him
Lock Heendog in mate. Kid is fine

No. Dogs have 8 midfielder forwards ahead of him

I mean taking high price rookies. A handful look good, but I'm only taking 1 of them with a heap of cheap rookies, allowing for an extra potential keeper

But yeah, if you're taking several high price rookies, Rayner does look good as a fwd

Brought Buddy in for the SC GF last year, none of the 6 opponents I was playing had him. Was a thing of beauty. Won all 6.
Repeat the dose this yr. Last trade on a KPF for Rnd 23 ??
SC GF's have been blown away the last cpl of years.
2016...Riewoldt 24D 21M, 9G, 200pts boooooooom, winner chicken dinner :D
2017...Franklin 25D 10M, 10G, 180pts boooooooom, nope, no bud. such a loser:(

As good as any other strategy it seems :thumbsu: Pick one of the better KPF's that plays a bottom 4 mob in Rnd 23.
Kennedy this yr ? Who knows...might be worth a last trade hail mary if under the gun.

Even better...make him captain :p

Giles-Langdon injured?? Swapped him for Keefe because he popped up with the red next to him.

Currently sitting with Franklin, Billings, Boak (the risk), Petracca, Christensen, Fritsch, (Keefe, L Ryan).

Apparently Giles-Langdon is OK but if not Keefe seems to be a good replacement. His DPP is useful too, particularly if you have a matching DPP in defence

Isn't he playing more forward than midfield?

Can't have 22 midfielders.

That's a lot of money for a FP Rookie though ......most would ? that if he was playing midfield

Last year the starting price of McLuggage stopped him being in many sides, which proved to be a correct decision too

Shh with the Rayner.
They are all saying the same things they said about McGrath.
Apparently the base priced WC rookies have better js.
Bahahahaha

Difference between McGrath and Rayner is that Essendon were a top 8 team so he had help around him, Essendon are a pretty high scoring SC team (Brisbane are typically bottom 2) and playing half back is a lot easier to score than a half forward.

I haven't completely ruled out Rayner, but I think it's paying a lot for someone who is going to find it tough.

Plus it's easier, as a rookie, to play DEF, than a FWD .....as a FWD & FP in particular, you don't score goals, you don't score SC ........just ask Buddy owners :'(:'( (sorry just getting emotional at those past experiences)

Using Footywire's similar price comparison of Jack Scrimshaw, Rayner needs a 55 breakeven. Is he likely to do that? Im doubting it but his job security should be somewhat ok.
