In regards to gc v carlton meima. Nevermind bit confusing
I'm just trying to calm you down that the nomination is not that important , maybe the selector rate GC higher than Carlton as opposition team ( Hunter Vs Brayshaw). IF you keep on saying AFL bias and don't rate the award why get upset in the first place, If Brayshaw is good enough , there are plenty round left for selector to get noticed .

Thanks for putting it into perspective

If Charlie Ballard keeps his form from the past few weeks. Hopefully can see him getting a nomination soon.

Surprised he didn’t get it last week imo

Good player

Stephenson edges in front today but I'm not sure it's time for an early crow. He did kick the 3 goals today but that is tempered somewhat by collecting only 8 possessions against the worst team in the comp. As normal, Bookies have it about right with Stephenson at around $4 with Florent, Withered, and Doedee at $5 - $6

Stephenson well ahead now.

Remember he's in his first year too while Doedee is in his third year while Witherden and Florent are in their second.

Florent probably ahead of Doedee and Witherden too.
Stepehsen has transformed the pies forwardline wins by a street.
Sorry people its over jaido has it wrapped up. Playing as a key position full forward he's possessions really count with game winning impact from less touches compared to others.

When the opposition plays a defensive game stacking their backline, it’s difficult for a forward to accumulate possessions like a midfielder or a forward playinging higher up the ground. The kid kicked 3 goals (should have been 4) and won a lot of one on one contests.

Dont leave out he kicked 5 against last years grand finalists the crow's.

should have been 5, not sure which of JT burning him with a handball over the top running into goal or the missed dribble kick from 20 metres you're leaving out

It's over according to the Melbourne media. Might as well pack our bags and forget about the rest of the season. Amazing how much they can read into a massive win against a powerhouse club like Carlton.

He had 8 possessions.

He had 8 possessions.
And kicked 3 goals and took great contested marks. His influence on the game was greater than a kid floating unaccountable half backnor wing accumulating 20 disposals.

It’s pretty difficult for you isn’t it?

You were making excuses for him when all that needs to be said was he had 8 and kicked 3.

So because its not a swans player favorite to win your crying wolf using the melbourne Victoria media excuse. No point whinging about it because you have won the rising star award three times with Adam Goodes 1999, Dan Hannebery 2010 and 2016 winner Callum Mills. Jaidyn deserves to win this award fair and square being the first collingwood player to do so. http://m.afl.com.au/news/event-news/nab-afl-rising-star/history

Happy Stephenson wins, got on at $19-1 before the year. Deserves it anyway, he's been extremely good.

Paddy Dow gets the nod this week, despite us not getting the win.
Had 20 possessions @70% DE, 9 contested possessions, 5 tackles 4 clearances.
Really like the way this kid goes about it, he’s tough, cracks in hard at the footy, has a beautiful side step and turn of speed, will be a jet in a few years time.

Nah, people just get caught up in hype. Jaidyn wouldn't have got votes most rounds, he's had some stinkers. But he's had a run of good games, so all of a sudden he's on top. Pies are due to play some decent teams soon, so we'll get a better idea then.
