Sorry for the intrusion. You guys don't seem to be happy with the deal but I think Dom is a perfect fit for you guys!

The only reason he has been pushed out of our midfield is because Oliver and Viney are such good extractors. Even Nathan Jones has been pushed to the outside a bit. Dom's foot skills haven't been good enough to play on a wing.

But having Dom solely as a first hands on the ball extractor (which he is good at) to assist Cunnington on the inside means that Higgins wont have to put his head over it as much and can use his explosiveness to get the ball moving. That along with the outside players you guys are adding like Polec and Hall will give you guys a really well rounded midfield.

I don't hate Tyson, I just don't like losing Preuss.

I can't believe there's complaints about Preuss (VFL ruck) and Clarke (guy that can't kick or handball) for Tyson (25 touch a game former pick 3) when Sydney just did this to move a 27 year old three times All Australian.

i havent even tried to wrap my head around all the points for tt and bailey but for everyone who has gone deep into that stuff, are you still sure we have that under control?

We will be much improved next year compared to this year.

In, Tyson, Pittard, Polec, Hall, Jacobs, McKay and fingers crossed Garner and I firmly believe Ahern has much improvement left in him.

There's competition for spots that we never had before. Also we cleaned out the potato cupboard.

I think this improves by far our biggest weakness. Midfield. Both for the now, and in potential. your opinion on this may depend on how you rated Clarke and Mountford. I never rated Clarke and am a bit meh on Mountford, so for me we are much better off.

Won? Yeah nah. I’d have been happy with a pick in the 50s for pruess considering what we are trying to do, to dip in to our picks to get a player who doesn’t bring anything we don’t already have, he’ll could we have tried to get hall in a three team trade.

We won it. He was good enough to play in a better midfield than ours for the whole back end of their season into a prelim. The alternative player on our list in a pick trade would end up at the far end of the draft after bids are met. It's a bigger picture than face value - only looks bad if we can't meet the bids on TT and Scott.

We're going to get Hall far cheaper than you think.

His every draft profile mentions it.

Our midfield issues are structural problems and we need classy/quick midfield depth. Tyson isn’t the answer.

I know it sucks losing Preuss. But Tyson is a significant upgrade on Clarke. They both don't have the best leg speed, but at least Tyson gets his own ball and is neat with his disposals. I think we should be more worried about him stealing Ahern's game time.

In saying that, I'm not unhappy with these 25-27 year olds coming in. They've all clearly got attributes that our game plan lacks. But we really need to land that A-grade talent soon or this becoming a little ridiculous.
