Yep, and Dusty 100% verbally committed to North. Richmond had made their “final offer”, which he rejected. At the 11th hour the tigs and Puma moved the goal posts.
However I understand I will never be trusted again by some.... and that’s fine.

It isn't a trust in you from my perspective, you just can't trust players until they put pen to paper.

Unless there is a falling out (which wasn't the case with Kelly, Martin or Gaff) they have constant access to them and can come to an arrangement before they get to signing on the dotted line with us.

It is why the 'done deal' requires a level of certainty rather than being in front in the race. If people say we are in front in the Gaff race, and it is largely because of his desire to be with his family, then I can understand that. I am a little hesitant to believe he has made a commitment and proceed to lie to everyone (unless it was say the last day or so and there was an agreement not to announce until a certain time/place). If he is just telling porkies to everyone you would have some doubts as to the character.

But I expect them to pay and in the unlikely event that they're planning not to, they haven't communicated that to me.

So I'm holding off on the going ape-shit against them bit.

He's coming, we have known for a month.

Can any one recall (as I don't remember) when Dusty was going through this situation, the club I don't think made any list signings or clarification on contracts until after Dusty decided yeah? If my memory of that situation is correct, this situation is different. We had a whole HEAP of signings midweek, totally out of character to wait that long and then to suddenly deal with them, there had to be a trigger. To me, that makes the Dusty and Gaff situations diametrically opposed to each other, from our perspective.
