I wonder how its possible that two years in a row, reputable posters with excellent sources declared black and blue they were certain a highly rated free agent was coming to North, only to have the rug pulled out from under their feet at the eleventh hour

How can we as a club get so unlucky twice in a row? I understand the circumstances are different (Martin got more money the day after verbally committing; Gaff is mentally shot after his last six months), but damn. Where to from here for this group?
