He's your classic 75m player. Run 25 kick it 50. He will make us so much better, he's an immediate upgrade on nearly everything we have in an outside sense

Nice to see him starting in the guts as well, dispelling the whole "he can only play wing or HBF" myth

Only thing I hope is that we aren't being duped by a contract year performance

a seemingly decent type player is looking more and more like a superstar in the making. could be the next shaun higgin. We north can also take players recruited from somewhere in the middle to the next level. This is brilliant, if we are only paying 5 x 600k, this is a bloody steal. **** gaff then, this dude and aaron hall then Josh Kelly and natural development of Taryn Thomas will make us a contender in 2019 and right in the frame for 2020. we have the cattle for a dynasty as we are slowly getting together a midfield list capable of taking us forward for the next decade. Our trading and drafting has been superb but our biggest asset is in the visionary approach by the club hierarchy. Whatever is happening, we are backing brad scott in his decisions and his list regeneration effort is paying off nicely.

Inflating the contract in the media serves to make Port a lesser scorned partner of this divorce.

Someone put Cornes on the spot on SEN this morning, and he stated that the price on Polec was media speculation in one sentence, then turned around in the next and stated that his "sources at Port Adelaide" claimed the yearly contract price for Polec was $750K.

They are clearly pissed off, so now they will play the tough guy in the media with trade negotiations in order to save face in front of the fans.

My take on all of this is that there are a lot of nervous people in the Port administration and football department.
