Hawks give up first round for Lynch
The whole point of picking up Stanley is so that Westcoast don't have to pick him up in free agency. It's not because he's worth anything, it simply convenient not to have Stanley's wages offset a free agent lost. I picked Westcoast because he's better than Vardy and nowhere near as injury prone. He's cheap cover worth nothing more than a throw away pick.

Yeah but he is a spud and I highly doubt they want him. Also disagree that he is better than Vardy. Definitely more durable but I'd prefer Vardy if actually on the park.

Not a free agent. He's a good player but maybe worth pick 20-30 to me due to his age and not being a full size KPP. Crows will want a 1st for him they will want to try and trade up into high picks to get Rankine etc. Maybe a 15-20 pick to the Crows (i imagine Lynch will only choose a top 8 club) with a swap of 2nd/3rds back in that club's favour?

They don have a R2 they traded it to Carlton and Thurlow's not worth that IMO. 45-55 is his range ala Lang.

Parish is basically (going to be) a better, cleaner, more polished version of GHS.
A better runner, better on the outside already, contested work may not be up to GHS but we aren't going to trade out one of our more promising mids for a run of the mill inside mids you can get from anywhere for any price you want.

I honestly thought he was a free agent. Hasn’t Lynch been on an AFL list since 2008? I would take him at the Hawks in a heartbeat. He would allow Gunston to play as a permanent forward.

We already have Gleeson who prior to injury was going to break out into an intercepting king. Furthermore, we have Aaron Francis who we should all see at AFL level sooner rather than later whilst the club showed us the future with Jordan Ridley playing a small handful of games last month.
tl;dr
Thurlow is not a player we are really after. It is quite possibly the easiest position to fill via draft.

St.Kilda then traded to Adelaide. Cant remember what it was for
Yoda.. as I said in another post.. its a thought bubble thread to my mind to be honest.. GHS is FA anyway.
Parish has gone of a tad in value however.. would he get R1 this year.. not sure.

I apologise for coming across demonstrative. Just feel Parish is being undersold. He has had a poor start to 2018, yes. He is still young so plenty of time to go to the (at worst) B grade midfielder.
Most of our list did for a bit there.
I think we had a game plan and it back fired spectacularly.
Then we started putting players back in position and low and behold we looked somewhat ok again.
Parish's move forward left him lost. He's a mid. Pretty good wing option if you ask me.
Breaking his thumb didn't help. With Zaka out, he would have been in line to come back in and we could use his pace.
If you need a pacey winger, Colyer may be available for trade. Will know by seasons end if he is viewed as a starting 22 player or as depth.
GHS would probably be ideal for someone like Brisbane or even Gold Coast. His leadership and character is apparently rated highly, and even if he's no superstar, that would invaluable for a relatively young midfield list.
