This comp started with a bang last year but turned into a bit of a schemozzle as I struggled to keep up during the year.

I may require an assistant to help me out or possibly hand over the comp to another poster during the season.

At the very least, I could use a weekly 'Where's the leaderboard, FFS' from thylacine60

But until then, let's at least start and see how we go.

Last night things got off to a very slow start, before we gave things a decent crack.

Ultimately it was a pretty meh performance overall and you can already see who won't last the year.

Oh, the Blues also lost to Richmond.

I'm just finalising the leaderboard, but to whet your appetite here are some stats about round 1 of the comp.

• The competition had 46 entrants (pretty impressive given the short notice)
• 14 different players were selected
• McKay (7 selections) was the most popular, followed by Gibbons (6), Cuningham (6), Fasolo (4) and Charlie (4)
• Simpson, SPS and Jones were the left-field selections, each picked by only one poster
• 24 (52%) posters made it through to round 2 but 22 posters (48%) were eliminated
• Of course, the most amazing stat of all is that Jabba73 survived!!!!

One final note: I have a natural tendency to be laz....I mean procrastina....I mean unreliab....look, sometimes I need help sticking to structures, OK?!?

So I have asked Arr0w to back me up this year in case I am struggling to keep up. So any leaderboard posted by him is as good as coming from me (probably better).
