I'm over worrying about who GWS will include or drop. I'm now only interested in who our 22nd player will be. It's going to be a great game and I'm glad we are in it again. We will be putting a very strong side onto the ground and if GWS take the points, we'll have made sure they've earned them. There are many Clubs I'd hate to see win this year's flag ahead of GWS.

this 100%

I lost my s**t at the Bris / GWS game when the umpire rolled that out.

and the same umpire is doing the Grand Final.

The worst part is there is actually a rule on it.. but it is so grey and flawed it's not funny.

IMO as long as the act isn't illegal e.g punching, kicking etc then you're fair game to get bumped, tackled hard etc.
Yep, or if you’ve been injured and you’re clearly trying to get off the ground or in the hands of medical staff you should be off limits. But if you declare yourself fit then you should be treated the same as every other player on the ground. The onus to protect the player should be on the medical staff, not the opposition players.

Coniglio out is a sensible decision for them. He hasn’t played for a while and it’s a knee injury so it’s likely that he won’t be 100%.

I’d risk Phil Davis should he announce himself to be OK to go because he is technically still match fit. Whitfield is 50/50. However, if I was GWS I’d play him if he seems right to go given he only had 1 week off.

hmm! nank doesn't have a lot of mongrel in him. perhaps fire up balmey and sit him near the intercahnge.
He doesn't? He's quite happy to bury opposition players into the ground when he tackles them though.

what do we do if mummy decides to go berserk? no balme like player to even the score worries me.

Tim lunch, Nank and soldo could all kill Mumford. He is a weak fat campaigner that preys on short people that can't fight back

I agree with this, but it wasn’t bumping or tackling that made the umpire make that call. There were a couple of instances on the TV in the lead up to it which was just the campaigner pulling and twisting his arm. To me that’s a campaigner of a move and reeks of Chris Scott.

I think it was on the softer side of the grey area, but it could easily have got out of hand if you let the bloke get away with it.

Brave call from ump to call it IMO. Think it’s about. 55/45 right call in this case, so it’s a pass ;)

Caddy would take care of the fat sausage eater. No problem.

Don't disagree that its a campaigner of a move, but is it an illegal move?

we can't be warning blokes or paying free kicks because we morally don't like it unfortunately.

either its an illegal action or it's not I reckon is the only way to go.

the worst part about the Brisbane one was that Cameron played up the injury then the umps told gws to leave him alone when he was fine after coming back on

how are teams to know when players are just a little sore or actually injured. umps should stay out of it unless players are being bumped while going off with the trainers etc. If they're on the field playing theyre fair game to do anything you do to other players which includes grabbing of arms, pushing, slapping etc. That happens to everyone you can't get special treatment if you've come back on

No-one said boo when the Scott brothers and Mal Michael repeatedly mauled Nick Riewoldt with a busted shoulder...how times have changed.
