I think he's more suggesting that Fyfe probably wont be there for their next premiership tilt, so there may be some interest to cash in on him at close to his height in value so that they can build to that next flag with a core group.

Don't think he is saying he has no value to Freo, think he is saying he's worth more to Freo to cash in on than keep in 'down' years.

He's 28 and someone of Fyfe's calibre will play good footy well into their 30s. Who knows when Freo will challenge again - but they would be a lot further from it without Fyfe.

Just for clarity... Judd was an extremely poor captain. Great player yes. Captain and leadership terrible.

Remember at the Brownlow medal when Brendan Fevola got tanked and Judd did nothing to stop him talking on tv (just laughing in the background as Fevola embarrassed himself).

And then the booze cruise where he didn't pull his Carlton team in line when they were getting too loose in public. Maybe it was an end of season function.
