Addition of Beams + already heaps of high scoring mids at Collingwood.

I think some people fear 'points stealing'.
honestly most premos can get "points stolen"

macrae he has to deal with dunkley bont mclean wallis libba williams
danger has to deal with jelwood ablett kelly daul
crouch has to deal with bcrouch sloane laird smith

is point stealing actually a real thing or do we just get scared cause some teams have alot of high scoring sc players

Gotta go Bont - I haven’t seen him move like that since 2016, hence the huge interest :)
112 avg after he came back from injury last year think he could be a great pod if he gets his consistency right.

thing that scares me with him is tom boyd is injured wont play to start the year with only schache up forward does bont play forward till boyd is back?

My mids are all over the place,

Only lock so far is cripps.

currently got macrae M1 but is he worth that price tag will he keep averaging 120+ or even 115+?
got libba back in the side and bont is fit now, dunkley killed it last year, williams playing more mid so it scares me a little.

cripps m2 locked

kelly m3 but who gets tagged for gws is kelly now the main target? can he go a full season without injury?

neale m4 played average in the praccy match and not sure how long it will take for brisbanes mid to click with him in the side.

and my m5 thats a ****ing rollercoaster. first i had bont injury free could be huge but very inconsistent.
dusty gonna play forward again till lynch is right so thats a big no no
treloar playing forward more
crouch not sure he can average more than 105-110
duncan can he actually boost he numbers to have a higher average (i doubt it)
zerrett interrupted pre season not sure he will be top 10 or even top 15 mid come end of year.

the issue isn’t really points stealing it’s that collingwood have so many mids that some will have to spend time forward or at half back

what is everyone thoughts on treloar? why is his ownership so low when he was massive at the start of the year?
Think just that he doesn't represent huge 'value' at the price, durability question marks and people wanting to see how midfield set-up / roles will be before committing, I'd say.
Beams, Treloar and Adams all have the potential to miss games. Beams the highest ceiling, Adams gives consistency, Treloar offers both if right.

Price awkward and you'd have to bank on him breaking out, but GWS' Hopper interests me more than Taranto. Wonder what his ownership will be.

think Taranto has more of a chance of breaking out than hopper, taranto had alot of scores 90+ with only a few low scores of below 60. hopper was all over the place think taranto wouldnt have to do much more to get his average over 100, with shiel leaving taranto will be able to step up and get those extra points.

How will their midfield look?

Whitfield goes to Half-Back, Kelly + Coniglio + Ward are their big guns in the centre, Taranto has talent as a FWD / MID, can Hopper play anything outside of Inside Mid?

That's the interesting one, if hopper can only play mid, tarantos forward again.

From memory, Hopper played forward a fair bit with stints on ball in his first year or two once he had cracked the team. I remember him chopping up in his first game (30 touches or something) and I picked him up in a draft league, then he pretty much split his time between fwd and mids going forward... so maybe he is capable of more than just mids

why would they rush lynch in? he is already ruled out for round 1 which is still 4 weeks away. he may not even play till round 5 or even later.

Who's saying this?
Lynch will be playing round 1.

I think he’ll play mainly on the wing. I don’t think his forward minutes will be huge.
I would've thought our wings would be Sidey & Phillips.

Both have great endurance & with the new rules I would think that's going to be very important.

I’m seriously considering picking Beams. Only goes interstate 5 times.

Round 5 - Gabba. He’s def playing this one.
Round 10 - SCG. Can’t see why he’d miss this. Short flight and is after a run of Vic games.
Round 17 - Perth
Round 18 - Western Sydney. Might miss one of these two given its back to back travel.
Round 22 - Adelaide. So close to the finals bye and not a big travel.

Unless he actually gets injured (still a risk) I can only see him being rested once going off that. Played all but one game last year.

20 games at 110 is super value at his price.
